Monitech has the worst customer service ever. I’m currently trying to get an override code so that I can drive to work and I’ve been on hold for an hour. I swear to God they must only have 1 person answering the damn phone. Now I’m going to be late for work and still haven’t spoken to anyone who can help me. If you ever find yourself in the unfortunate situation of having to have an interlock device installed, do yourself a favor and please go with another company.

This is my 3rd time having Monitech install Interlocking. My experience has been horrible in my second installation on Saturday after Thanksgiving the Tech in Greensboro not only put it in wrong the alarm went off on Monday I had to pay to get it out on Tuesday. The tech from High Point informed me it was put in wrong after I paid to get it out. Monitech took my money on two ocassions I have yet to see any refund or credit. The last installation was done in March by the High Point tech finally did a re installation correctly. Now I cannot get through to customer service. What is it going to take to be treated with respect from a company that is false advertising 24 hours 365 days customer service. I am so disappointed with the service I am receiving. My car will need servicing soon what should I do if customer service will not answer?

Every time I call, I’m put on hold for hours, and most of the time the person I’m speaking with is rude! The last time I called I was on hold for 2.5 hrs trying to cancel an install appointment due to Inclement weather. Stayed on hold 15 mins after I was supposed to arrive at monitech and finally gave up. Also have set up appointments online without ever receiving a call back, and I’ve had a ton of trouble anytime I have to get a bypass code to put my truck in the shop.

Worst company I’ve ever had to deal with. Currently have been on the phone an hour and 15 minutes. They machine constantly fails you for the dumbest reasons and the staff acts like they don’t want to be there and when you do finally get them on the phone sometimes they hang up on you. Almost forgot the worst part. I had a device for four years. Got it out 8-31-18. On 4-17-19 the dmv said my license was suspended via a letter they sent me. After investigating because the letter didn’t say exactly why, turns out it’s from a violation from 6-1-18. They waited ten months, let me drive with a license and no interlock system to tell me my license is getting suspended. Still on hold at an hour and twenty minutes trying to figure out what I did in June to justify this.

Technician waited until after installation and processing my full payment to inform me that the “printer is broken and I can’t print your certification of installation, call the customer service number and they should be able to email it to you.” When I called customer service I was told they could only email it to me once I sent them a copy of my “valid drivers license.” Obviously, I needed the certification of installation to receive my drivers license so at this point I realized nobody at Monitech has a clue what they are doing. I had to enlist the help of the DMV to go over everyone at Monitech and push my case through. Absolutely horrible, incompetent, pathetic business with monitech so far and I’m only a few weeks in. Look people, I get it, if I hadn’t messed up then I would not be required to use your device, but I have repaid my debt to society for my mistakes. I do not need monitech torturing me and holding my future hostage because of their own failures.

The Arden location should be shut down! First off,DAKOTA S. , with the greasy long hair, told my wife and I that he doesn't get paid to give a fu*k about his customers , while complaining about other customers to us,very unprofessional ! Dakota also removed my machine yesterday and only installed 4 out of the 8 screws under my dash , then threw the other 4 in his desk trash can right in front of me . While I was on my way home I need a rattle under my steering wheel where he had been working , and when I got home I inspected his work to find the metal plate wasn't even screwed tight and was rattling , and two screws gone , plus the plastic cover over the metal plate was missing screws ... I told my wife I bet those screws we seen him toss were mine , so we drove back to arden monitec this morning and low and behold the screws were still in his trash can . He could only say I'm sorry sir , I'm so sorry sir ! This is totally unacceptable for any business , and I will be filing appropriate complaints with consumers protection ! Those machines do not read accurate , there is 30+ things besides alcohol that will give the customer a false fail , soda , yeast from bread , albuterol inhaler , smoking cigarettes , so many things it's not fair. I had to change my whole life for three years to get my time completed . I hope the right person reads this and takes action to improve the monitec system and no good employees from ARDEN !

They are terrible. I set up an installation for Saturday at the Matthews, N.C. location at 1pm. Arrived on time and the location stated it was closed. Called customer service and the proceeded to figure out what happened. The initial appointment was made at a different location and I was given the wrong address. They proceeded to set up an appointment at the other location in Charlotte at 3pm. The trip to Charlotte is 45 mins away so I drove to the location. I arrived at 2:45pm the location also had the closed sign at their door. Again I called customer service and though they set up an appointment for 3pm they did not inform the technician about it. The same technician who was originally supposed to do the installation at 1pm waited for me and once he realized I was not coming he took a service call and would not be coming back to the location. So I have now driven 2 hours to 2 different locations and still not had any service done. The customer service person showed no compassion or sympathy and simply stated we could get you another appointment set and they “original person should have told you that Matthews is only open on Monday.” Excuse me, 1. Your hours are not shown online for your locations. 2. You do not send out confirmation emails for your appointments 3. If your business model is service based and yet you don’t have communication between your customer service and your installers how do you run a business. I will not have service with this company and the only correspondence that I have received with this company is this survey.
