I went to bell rd location quick start…
I went to bell rd location quick start the mechanic guy who installed my inner lock scratch my plastic gauges cover while in stalling it I notice it few days after I left i do not recommend this too anyone find a professional who takes pride in there work not no lazy ass try get it but it is what it is

The device was malfunctioning when I…
The device was malfunctioning when I left the grocery store & wouldn’t let me test. After being on the line with customer service for two minutes the lady put me on an over 15 minute hold. In which time I was able to resolve the issue myself, when the music for the hold ended I thought someone had answered, but nobody replied.

Im having alot of problems with it
Im having alot of problems with it. It could be the heat. I was stuck in my car for 20 min tryingvto get it to work.

What’s there to like?
Terrible customer service and wires were left unplugged causing me to have to take time off work to come back and have them fix it. Made me pay $45 AND come in due to a missed blow because there were NO appts available within the 3 day time period allowable before they shut the car down. Why should I have had to pay AND have a very inconvenient appointment time and suffer as a result of their scheduling issues?! I expected nothing more from this company.

This is the first time i have ever have…
This is the first time i have ever have to deal with anything like this. I feel this company takes advantage of its "cusromers" by extortion. Inventing bogus so call "violations" to get as much money as they can from you. I left my car running trying to jump start another vehicle in my yard for less than ten minutes. I heard an alarm go off and it was the device telling me I had failed to take my running tests. I had to turn off the vehicle and blow into the device wich i passed. The device then prevented my car from starting and had to pay monitech $45 to reset the device so I could have gen Drive! The vehicle was in Park the entire time! And I was not drinking! but still had to pay the fee I did nothing wrong or malicious this company extorts money from you bottom line

At Monitech, our employees continuously test our units to understand our consumer's experience and we know that when first installed, the alert for a random retest can be anxiety producing. We use this information and consumer feedback like yours to design devices that take away as much of the stress of using an IID as possible. In response to your specific concern about random retests, state regulations, not the interlock industry, determine the frequency of random retests and the time period in which they must be taken prior to recording the event as a missed test.

We appreciate your feedback and understand your concerns. Unfortunately, our devices' settings are dictated by state regulations, so the fail readings on our devices are outside our control. Please note that the ignition interlock device will register any trace of alcohol from any source containing it - this is how the device effectively ensures an impaired individual is not able to start a vehicle, and how we are able to confidently state the Monitech ignition interlock is fulfilling its purpose. We advise in our training manuals, training videos, and in person when our clients install the device - to be mindful of testing right after eating, drinking, using mouthwash, etc., as doing this can potentially register a fail and will require the device to be reset. We also advised you of these things when we gave you an override the first time for free.

Gotcha fee
I thought your $45 unlock fee was really a cheap shot especially after we just got the device a week ago. We are on a voluntary contract which I might have to reconsider.

When I first had the machine installed…
When I first had the machine installed it constantly gave me issues and it had to be changed out three times. I was stuck in another city for two days unable to get home because the unit malfunctioned. Now since the covid-19 epidemic I took precaution and bought necessary supplies for me and my family with the funds I had because my hours were reduced at work. I recently had an appointment, but had to reschedule because I didn't have the funds to pay for the next two months. My vehicle is in permanent lockout now, so I called Monitech on 3-30-2020 because I still have to work, but their charging $45 for a code and I advised the agent I did not have any money and I thought they were assisting their clients during this time, but it's obvious they do not care and all they care about is money. So I couldn't go to work and my vehicle is still in lockout. I will be starting a petition and contacting whoever I need to so this companies practices will be known everywhere. I will also have this machine removed and go with a different company. Good riddance to bad rubbish!!!!
