The goal was to convert a .cvs file to a Quicken gfx file or a .qfi file. I loaded the .cvs file into the program and it would not let me convert without making changes to the data column headings. The interface is very confusing and there was no manual. I canceled my subscription. Quicken shafted its users my not allowing more than a 90-day download.

I spent almost $800 and this software doesn't work to convert files useable for Quickbooks. I sent support several messages; however, still having major issues. It advertised as easy to use, but I've spent 4 hours trying to figure out why its not working for me.

Beware, this Moneythumb "software" is a scam. It does not work as advertised and they will not refund your money. It is a waste of time and money.

Hi Christian - We are sorry to hear that you had some difficulty converting your statements. We are happy to provide unlimited support, free of charge, to assist you if you feel the system did not produce the results you were looking for. What may seem to be big problems are often resolved by a simple Settings change and as we have offered multiple times, we are happy to provide you with guidance on how to use the software. Our system has an incredibly high accuracy rate, but in the event there really is a problem that we cannot fix, then we will absolutely issue a refund. From a business standpoint, we need to avoid people using the software and then requesting a refund once their use is complete. To satisfy that end, we simply need for you to provide the requested information on your conversion issues. We have a great track record of fixing issues, but if we cannot, we will issue a refund. We would like to keep you as a customer, and presumably you would like to have your data converted. We hope we can work together to resolve your issue.

Maybe my own misunderstanding as I was of the view that I am purchasing a product that can convert from PDF to csv, however it can only do conversions to OFX.

Be very careful reading the positives. This software is horrible and the customer service is worse. I cancelled, but they claimed I updated my card! I most certainly did not, but they got it from a updater service that provides updated expired cards. I’m fine with updater services but subscriptions or important auto drafts etc, but not for a company I cancelled last year. Refuse to refund my money, apparently $100 is too important. Also, the software didn’t work… very complicated to convert a PDF that my new MacBook now does without software.

Their QfxToQbo software does NOT work as advertised. If the bank you are using does not pay for a QID with QuickBooks (such as US Bank), you will NOT be able to upload the QBO file that is created. Instead, you will get the following error: YOU are trying to upload the web connect file with an account type that QuickBooks does not support. Please contact your Financial Institution for details.

I don't see what the hype is about. It tricks Quickbooks into thinking it is a bank download. You can do the same thing by uploading a CSV file. It didn't save me any time, just cost me more $$. You still have to push all the data from the "For Review" bucket into the GL. The vendor name is not automatically recognized.

Moneythumb CSV2QBO for $59.95 didn't offer any additional features for me than imported a plain CSV file. The website was misleading. You can find a trial version to see if it will work before spending time & money.
