I bought my Mondaine model in Switzerland some years back ,having been impressed by the efficiency and punctuality of the train network for whom Mondaine is the official timekeeper. But,alas, those same standards were not applicable to my timepiece. Inside a year it started going slow and would stop on and off. A servicing with an autorised workshop didn't improve things either. It ended up in a drawer,and I've since had fauitless timekeeping from a Japanese brand.

Look great but don't work! I had one about six years ago which stopped working. Thought I was unlucky. Spent £285 atJohn Lewis two and a half years ago on a Mondaine and now that has conked out too. I have returned them to the manufacturer............

My husband has a collection of 3 Mondaine watches - all of which have stopped working on installation of new battery . We resorted in the end to a 20 mile trip to jeweller so called ‘specialising ‘ in the brand to insert the battery - all of which made no difference whatsoever - just a whacking great bill ! They might look great but they’re poor quality watches with no customer back up or company pride...

Watch was never delivered. I have been unable to contact the company regarding the issue. Or, they are ignoring every inquiry I make. Don't know. Don't care anymore. I will never buy a Mondain again. It has been so frustrating never getting any response except to ask for my details and then never respond again. God knows what would happen if I needed repairs.

An unfortunate experience. The back facing of the watch separated one month after purchase. Returning it to retailer to repair/replace.. its been months (4) ..and watch has not been returned by retailer who supposedly sent it back to manufacturer. A literal waste of $400 and certainly bad taste. Poor warranty policy.

Was given a £400 Mondaine automatic watch for my 50th birthday. It's been back twice as it's time keeping is atrocious. For a "quality" brand I am most disappointed and would not recommend Mondaine to anyone. It's so bad at keeping time I hardly bother to wear it now - shame because it's a good looking watch.

I purchased a watch for a birthday gift which fell during the covid-19 lockdown period and I wrote to Mondaine to advise the watch was not suitable and advised I would not be able to return as I did not want to run the risk of catching the virus by queuing in a post office. Mondaine replied "The UK post service is still working and our UK warehouse is open. Therefore, it is possible to return your watch". I was astounded by this response. They have been very unhelpful ever since with various communications. I read on their website free returns within 14 days but now have to pay to return a watch that is not suitable. I would never buy from this customer unfriendly company again. 1st May 2020 I am still waiting for my refund and the company are ignoring my emails.

Watch stopped working within warranty. Assumed it was the battery so took to Timpsons who tested the battery, said nothing was wrong and suggested I returned to Mondaine as their was a mechanical fault. Did as suggested only for Mondaine to tell me that the watch was broken by Timpsons and as such my warranty was invalid. Really annoyed. I usually by cheaper watches and don't worry about them if they get broken but this was a gift from my wife. Expected that paying the extra money would equate to getting better customer service, but the warranty is not worth the paper it is written on and it looks like I'm going to have to fork out near £70 to get the watch repaired. Not sure I want to as the quality of the watches is clearly questionable.
