The bamboo duvet covers are fabulous, beyond expectations. However I am unsure of the pillowcase that is supposed to be silk one side, cotton the other. It feels and looks exactly like the bamboo duvet cover on the ‘silk’ side.

The silk nightie blue colour is perfect. The material, the model and the fit (M). The one star missing is for the delivery. It took more than 14 days to receive it. It comes from China so keep in mind that it will take a while as it is not mentioned how long it will take.

Alles in Allem also prima.

Good quality real silk, passed the burn test. I ordered a pajama set and was in doubt whether it was really 'real' silk as the package declared 'polyester'. I don't know if it was to avoid higher taxes but it set me off. So I did the burn test. I found the place on the pajama where two fabrics were sown together and had some threads loose, I cut them and burnt them. They didn't burn when the flame was removed, they smelled like human hair on fire and didn't melt into a mush as polyester does but crumbled into pile of ashes. Well done, Mommesilk! I only give 4 stars and not 5 as the pajama pilled slightly after the 1 wash and I handwashed it myself with the special silk detergent. The pilling is minimal though and only visible on dark fabric. It's worth the money and I am ordering pillow cases.

Product quality is excellent, but I ordered the wrong size. Some confusion and miscommunication initially regarding the return process. Customer Service corrected their error, and they were accommodating to rectify the exchange.

I ordered two envelope pillowcases. Good quality and well made. Colour bright coffee was nice, the only thing was they took longer than expected to arrive, and the presentation boxes the cases came in were damaged, so could not give as a gift. The label states 100% silk, they feel like silk but they don’t have the smell of silk like my other pillowcases have. Overall good value for money.

Edit: Customer service contacted me after seeing my review and very kindly offered me a refund of my postage costs as well as an apology. I'm still waiting to receive my order but hoping it will be lovely once it arrives! Although my product ordered (silk pillowcase with hidden zipper) hasn't yet organised, I wasn't impressed with the customer service at Mommesilk. Nowhere on the site did it state products were shipped from China. Under FAQs it says the products are made in China, but I, perhaps naively, assumed that was it was a UK website the products would be in stock in the UK and shipped from the UK. When I found out that products are shipped from China I wasn't very pleased as I'm trying to reduce my carbon footprint, and wouldn't have ordered had I known this. I mentioned this in an email to customer service and said that perhaps they should include this information on the site. The response I received was this, which I felt was rather rude: "Thanks for your reply. That doesn't matter. Products shipped from CN was stated on our website. We have many returned customered from UK. But anyway, thanks for your inquiry." As the customer, it actually DOES matter to me, and I don't appreciate being talked down to and my concerns minimised. As a result, I sadly don't think I'll be ordering from here again or recommending the company to friends and family.

On this occasion I bought the silk pillowcase with hidden zipper. Excellent quality merchandise and customer service. We’ll done! Highly recommend. Jules Ferrigno
