So you probably know after reading a few reviews that there will be A LOT of blacked out games. Well here’s some extra bs you’ll deal with if you try to watch games thru the app… if you’re watching on a device that uses data, then the IP address will apparently be very confusing to MLB.tv and it will just go ahead and black your game out to be safe. When you text customer service, they’ll tell you to call instead. When you call, they’ll have to escalate you to a supervisor. The whole process took 25 minutes the last time it happened (it’s happened to me 4 times already with my favorite team and there’s barely been a month of baseball). I was watching a game on my phone, and all of a sudden in the 8th inning MLB.tv decided I had teleported across the country. By the time I was able to talk to someone who’s capable of overriding this apparently common mistake, the game was literally over.

The product itself is very good, you get to watch every game during the season for $160, which given the sheer number of games is brilliant. The downside is how difficult they make it to subscribe. A lot of e-commerce sites are very aggressive at selling, this is the opposite, can actually be quite difficult to find the link where you subscribe. I got there eventually, but wasn’t easy!

MLB TV online is horrible due to one simple reason. They will block the user from watching their home team. For example if you live in the Denver area and want to watch the Colorado Rockies Baseball team you cannot view your home team's games for unexplainable reasons. Matter of fact you can't watch any of your teams games, even when they are on the road. Their servers determine your IP address and block you from watching it. If you have an IP address from the Denver metro area which is a very large area according to them it will block you from viewing the game. They say this is their policy, to preclude you from watching your 'home team' this is INSANE. This is unbelievable. Who came up with this 'policy'. We pay for this service but MLB won't provide the service we pay for! I would like to speak to legal counsel about this, I think we could file a class action lawsuit and settle for a good amount of money. Simply because we are paying them for a service they refuse to provide because of some bogus 'policy' especially during a pandemic. This is America's favorite pass time policy to deny citizens to watch their home team? Doesn't make sense in this country, maybe another country? Also they play the same commercials between innings since there are 9 innings you will watch the same commercials 18 times, rather repetitive. This doesn't mean there isn't quality programing and there is a lot useful development in the way the app is crafted and designed.

Had nothing but trouble since signing up. Have to remove and reinstall the app on the TV every 2-3 innings. The twitter support staff have had me change everything and the problems remain. If I watch a live game I don't have any issue, but any game I watch that's already been played errors out after the picture quality drops. My TV streams any other mainstream channels with no problem. Netflix, Amazon Prime, Now TV, Disney+ etc all of them work great for hours and hours. I've made every change they've asked and when it doesn't work, they start again from the beginning.

Jeg er abonnent på MLB.TV som sender samtlige baseball kampe fra USA. Jeg har uden problemer modtaget et udemærket signal og set en masse ballgames. Men i år var der intet signal. Jeg har været i kontakt med MLB.TV flere gange pr. mail, men deres anvisninger har ingen effekt på det manglende signal. Jeg har rykket flere gange men nu er de tavse som graven. Jeg forstår det ikke. Jeg er en betalende kunde op føler ikke at de hjælper mig som de burde.
