Maharishi International UniversityReviews of miu.edu

very low quality education .too many retired and rehired ,unmotivated workers, needs highly skilled professors .library and cafeteria lacks sanitation.

You meditate with your class mates. You are taught tools to live a better life. You are discussing real world solutions to global problems. You get direct immersive experience with the block system that allows you to focus on one subject at a time.

Works great.

this university is filled with liars do not trust their 5 star review they beg students to give positive review ,terrible and rude management worst education it does not deserve to be a university

Those who want to join this University please do your own research but here is my own experience at their masters software development program. If you are coming with the expectation of getting high quality education this may not be for you ,The program does not fulfil most of the academic standards those who join the program are 100% international students. The professors are not expert in the area that they teach some of them are learning JavaScript on the go as the teach. Professors are highly concerned about negative reviews from students ,they will hold your exam papers and ask you to fill their end of course assessment form. communication skills which is a key for teaching learning process. regardless of your interest the university will force you to learn meditation course strictly focused on Maharishi Yogi and you will pay for it and may go beyond the regular scientific meditations you may call it worshiping, refusing to take the course is not a choice. Corrupt grading system which is strictly personal . I recommend a through review before making a decision

I had an incredible experience at Maharishi International University. The unique combination of the module teaching structure, meditation, and job-oriented classes truly sets this institution apart. The module teaching structure provided me with a well-rounded education, allowing me to explore a variety of subjects and gain a deeper understanding of each one. The emphasis on meditation was a game-changer for me. It not only helped me manage stress and improve my overall well-being, but it also enhanced my focus and creativity. The meditation techniques I learned at MIU have been invaluable in both my personal and professional life. The job-oriented classes at MIU are outstanding. The curriculum is designed to prepare students for real-world success, and the faculty is dedicated to providing the knowledge and skills needed in today's competitive job market. The career support and resources available to students are top-notch. I can confidently say that Maharishi International University has had a profoundly positive impact on my life, both academically and personally. I would highly recommend MIU to anyone looking for a well-rounded education, personal growth, and a pathway to a successful career. MIU is a truly exceptional institution.

Wow.. how bout a levelheaded review from a nontraditional student with some perspective.. Eh? I am what would be called a Townie here. That means I grew up in Fairfield, but wasn't part of the MIU community, so I have seen the good, the bad and the ugly. And this place has it all! So depending on your intentions you can have a wide range of experiences here. The computer programming world and the meditation/ayurvedic world almost exist independently. So if you are coming for computers and expect a party school.. you are going to be disappointed! But if you are looking for a small community where you can learn some of the healing arts, and even a stellar Art program itself.. I dont think you will find an experience like this at any other campus. MIU is the definition of unique. It has its flaws for sure, but I truly feel that because of the effort they have made to provide this strange little intimate experience they had to be creative in making that happen. The movement itself has had its corruption scandals over the years, but what places don't? The management seems to be in transition towards getting a new generation of truly inspired individuals in place. You can call it a meditation cult if you want, and if you want to belong to a cult I am sure you can find a group here. But if you are someone like me, who needed a place to come and just heal for a few years, then aside from enrolling yourself into a 4 year rehab, you won't find a place better than this. Mid pandemic my drinking had gotten to an uncomfortable level. I didn't realize at the time, but I was trying to heal from an abusive custody battle that spanned 15 years. I just knew I had to get help. And directly after my 30 days in rehab I started attending MIU. It wasn't where I intended to go, but a good life isn't about what you want.. It's about what you need. And what I needed was physical and spiritual healing. And 2 sober years later I am sitting here in the best mental, physical and spiritual shape of my 47 years. No it isn't all attributed to the school and its teachings. But because of their loose grip on what your spiritual path “should be” they support you and whatever higher power you follow to find a welcome place here. I look at MIU as a huge antenna that calls to all the quirky seekers of the world. It is focused enough in its intention to gather us all, but relaxed enough to let you carve out your own kind of experience. You won't find heavy handed woke ideology running your curriculum either, but if that is important to you then you can find a community for that as well. It is difficult to describe this wonderfully weird place. But this Townie is so very grateful that it exists. I am a better man for it.

I'm an alumni of the MSD program, and I highly recommend the program to anyone who wants to change their career to software development. The program is well-structured and covers all the essential topics, from programming languages and software engineering principles to data structures and algorithms. The faculty are experienced and knowledgeable, and they are always willing to help students succeed. The MSD program changed my life. I came to MIU with no prior experience in software development, but I was able to learn everything I needed to know to start a new career as a software engineer. The program is challenging, but it is also very rewarding. The faculty and staff are incredibly supportive, and they create a positive and supportive learning environment. One of the things I loved most about MIU was the sense of community. The students are all very supportive of each other, and we helped each other through the challenging times. If you are thinking about changing your career to software development, I highly recommend the MSD program at MIU. It is a great program that will help you achieve your goals.
