I didn't know what to expect initially, but once I got involved, it showed me how to share in ways I didn't think would make a difference before. This organization handled all of the different types of people and their ways of life equally with patience and love. It was a very welcoming and eye opening. I look forward to being a part of this again in the future.

A few hiccups with the hotel but Stephanie and Josh took care of everything!! Such an amazing trip, my heart is full ❤️

The trip was all I had hoped for and more. All of the Mission Discovery staff was wonderful. In fact, everyone we met in Antigua was amazing! Our hotel was wonderful! It was beautiful and in a location that was perfect, the staff was great. There were some issues that I think could be improved upon. The first is that the communication could be better, such as we asked questions before our trip and mostly they were not answered. It would be nice to maybe have a zoom or two with Mission Discovery before the trip to make sure that people know what to expect, what is expected of them, and to have any questions answered. The second is the rooms at our hotel were booked wrong from the room assignments our leader gave Mission Discovery. Third, there were so many people in our group, it seems like especially at the house the group was really too large to have everybody working, in such a large group it would seem that we could have completed two houses. Also, the group that was at the schools, etc was fairly large as well and could have maybe had some of us doing something else. That being said, I still gave a 5/5 and would do more mission trips with Mission Discovery. I understand needs and resources are fluid and there are many things going on behind the scenes. I am sure though that communication prior to the trip could be better. Thank you for providing a means for people to be able to serve! Just a thought too is that since there was some time on the bus every day, some of that time could be used having discussions, devotions, etc. Perhaps a few shorter sessions of things like that throughout the day, rather than longer evening sessions. You know what works or doesn't, I am just putting it out there. I pray that your organization continues to grow!

The trip was very smooth and it was really fun to do with all my favorite people.

I was so very impressed with the Mission Discovery staff in Guatemala! Josh, Stephanie, and Clare ( and whoever I am forgetting) worked so hard to ensure the missions of all 3 groups were met! They worked tirelessly also to provide Group leaders guidance. The hotel was great, food was great ( although I would have liked local dishes more but I get that not everyone likes that), transportation was on time- amazing that everything went so well! I know that happens when the key people work behind the scenes to make it happen!! Typically I would recommend promotions ( or raises) for these key people but that probably isn’t realistic within the structure of MD so we can only applaud their successful efforts!! Also, I will pray that I have MANY opportunities to work with them and MD again!! I had a WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE in Guatemala! Thank you all!!

The trip was very memorable. It was clear that God was moving, a theme for the group became clear as the week progressed. The days were organized and we were able to talk about hurdles and be able to clear them as a team. The only thing I would complain about, which would be nitpicking at this point was the need to split up in smallgroups on the last day when we already shared as a group previously. Overall, the trip was enjoyable.

This was truly a humbling and yet fulfilling experience. Meeting those we came to serve one on one, interacting with the kids, much less the beautiful countryside was just WOW! Our group encountered the spiritual war being fought both in our travel to and from Guatemala. If it could go wrong, it did. Yet throughout the trials, God's hand was there as an ever steady presence. Mission Discovery is a small devote team of believers who are endeavoring to change lives. Hiccups are going to occur when you're doing God's work and the smiles and encouragement by the Mission Discovery team are steadfast through it all. I am so blessed to have been a part of this trip.

On my trip to Guatemala, I saw the Lord move exponentially. From Kairos, to the job sites building homes, to meal deliveries, to just hanging out with the other guys on the trip, I felt incredibly spiritually encouraged and intimate with God. Mission Discovery definitely helped everything run smoothly, and were very helpful when we had questions on logistics. 10/10 would, and probably will go again.
