When I receive a mail about another recent AI "innovation" in the Miro product, but meanwhile the most basic login with email and password has been broken for weeks, this is a sign that they care more about presenting shine then caring about the actual needs of users. I used to be an advocate for this product, implemented it in multiple companies but the last years it's only gone downhill: more lag, no real valuable improvements that excite me: all the extra's are hurting the core experience of what made this a great and enjoyable tool to use: collaborative whiteboarding.

I was a staunch advocate of miro, but I am now getting hit with 3 factor authentication (not two - three). I am the admin, I have checked all settings (two factor off) and I cannot get it to go away. This is an awful user experience. I often wait 10 minutes for the email to login. Meanwhile, my class sits idle. This is a collaboration tool, not a banking app. There’s no $ involved, so even two factor is excessive.

Deceptive process for cancelling subscription - tries to charge you for full month rather than immediate refund, couldn't find the terms and conditions anywhere. Here's exactly what to click to obtain a refund: Activate the 'cancel refund' button (this continues to charge for a full month Visit your profile *again* and a 'cancel Now' button is now visible. If you click that, it cancels with immediate effect and offers a *full* refund (at least in UK, where we are covered by a 14-day full refund right by law)

Miro is getting harder to use, not better. I feel a bit broken hearted about it to be honest.

Absolutely terrible. Impossible to start a new map. The chat function doesn't really to anything and there is no clear path to add/create/start any type map from the initial landing-page. I wouldn't waste my time or life trying to figure this service out.

I used to be a Miro lover. So I went with the starter license. All my decks, prototypes, and presentations were done on it. But during the last year many bugs have interfered with my work: Sometimes I cannot change the font color; images that I upload are not displayed; I cannot drag certain objects to another place. Really basic stuff indeed! Now, the straw that broke the camel's back is that I cannot access my boards!! They imposed a Magic Link sign-in method, and it is not working. I asked for support, and they are telling me it is a bug and they are working on it. Sooo my information is trapped. Idk if they changed their engineering team, who are vibe coding, but the app is not doing good.

Miro is a useful and generally capable mind-mapping and collaboration platform, but putting two-factor authentication behind a paid plan is extremely poor practice. Basic account security should not be treated as a premium feature—especially for software designed to hold collaborative work, potentially including sensitive professional or organisational information. Charging for advanced administration features is understandable; charging users for a fundamental security measure is not. Miro should make 2FA available to every account, including those on the free plan. Until it does, I cannot recommend the service without serious reservations.
