Pickaxe.io is comprised of a lot of different parts to initiate mining. I have not obtained a mining contract yet however it is possible in the near future. Hopefully everything goes well on this site cause a lot of different mining sites suck.

You’re right that Pickaxe has a lot of moving parts, and our goal is to make each step clear: learn first, compare hardware, then decide whether you want to purchase equipment and how you want it deployed (ship to you or hosted)
If you ever want help understanding the process or figuring out what the right next step is, just reach out. We’re here to make this simple and make sure you feel confident before you move forward.

Bitcoin mining for all
Today is the day I lost my cherry to Bitcoin mining. I always thought what the hell is that what does it mean how do I do this . But now haha I'm still trying to figure it out.but this platform is super cool. Being broke and interested is a dangerous combination. I'm excited about this cryptocurrency and I'm trying to find a path way to get rich

Great customer service so far
Great customer service so far. The deployment process worried me at first, since they estimated about 2-3 weeks, but Rick said he’d try to expedite it for me. Ended up being deployed in a week from my purchase! Thank you!

Pickaxe is very transparent
Pickaxe is very transparent. I own the machines, all of the production, and all of the tax write-offs. For people who are bullish on the price of bitcoin, this is a no brainer.

Thank you for the thoughtful feedback! We're glad you’ve found value in the transparency we strive for. Full ownership, full production, and the tax advantages are exactly what set this model apart, especially for those who believe in the long-term potential of Bitcoin. Thank you!

Pickaxe Mining may be a SCAM
I started with Pickaxe in August of 2024 after talking with Edward. I was looking for a hands off method to enter the mining world. It took roughly 3 to 4 weeks to get the equipment and have it set up. We successfully mined Kaspa in September but the servers( miners) would be periodically turned off due to power issues in the area/data center. At this point we were mining Kaspa and getting paid in Bitcoin via Nice Hash. Everything was running slightly below a break even so I was looking at this as a long term investment since it was not returning the promised 20% returns. Then we began consistently running into power issues that forced my machines offline and degraded returns. Support did not proactively notify me of this. I had to log into NiceHash and notify Pickaxe. It was a debacle but I was credited for downtime. The next issue was when the price point of Bitcoin is below specific thresholds and power prices remained constant I decided not to mine as it was massively unprofitable. During this period (roughly January 2024 to May 2025), Pickaxe decided to change platforms and leave NiceHash and perhaps data centers? It's hard to tell. They have mentioned a few locations in Texas to me in the past but ultimately my miners were shelved as I didn't pay them ( I agree that this was OK based on my non-payment) for a few months when the price of mining was prohibitively expensive. When I was ready to get back to mining I opened up a ticket with support on May 4th, 2025. May 5th they requested that I pay them and they would turn the equipment back on. After a bit of back and forth to get clarification on costs and timing I paid them on May 13th. Silence. On May 16th I followed up with them and they responded that day that it may take some time to get the machines operational. On May 20th I followed up only to get a standardized customer support response with no detail. On May 24th I followed up again. On May 26th Pickaxe responded that the machines needed updating and their tech ( I guess they only have one) was out of the country and would be back in a week. I followed up on the 28th to see if it was a SW update or firmware update and was told they were waiting to power on the rack and that they would be up early the following month ( abnormally long to power on a rack???). I then followed up June 11th when I hadn't heard back and was told that Texas had an emergency power maintenance issue. On the 13th I followed up and was told the entire Texas site is still offline. I asked that they let me know when it was back up and running. They said they would let me know. On June 23rd I followed up after not hearing from them to which I asked them is this a SCAM. They said that several hundred machines are down due to a blown transformer and that they may be forced to move the entire operation to a new data center. Not sure I believe this. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Smells like a SCAM to me.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We understand how frustrating delays can be, and we want to address your concerns directly and transparently.
To clarify: Your machines were shut down due to non-payment, not a voluntary pause. Per our agreement, this entitled us to charge storage, late, and reconnection fees, which are standard in the industry. However, we waived all of those fees as a courtesy, despite months of unpaid invoices.
During that time, your units were at one of our more remote facilities. We were upfront that restarting machines would take time due to the site's location and staffing constraints.
Unfortunately, while preparing your machines for reactivation, the site experienced a transformer failure, which affected hundreds of client units, not just yours. We notified you of this and informed you that we’d be migrating all equipment to a new data center to prevent future issues.
Throughout this process, you were offered multiple times the option to have your miners moved to another site or even shipped to your home — at no markup. You declined those options.
The switch to Kaspa mining happened because you hadn’t completed KYC on NiceHash, which is required to receive BTC payouts. We transitioned you to a compatible pool so your machines could continue mining without interruption.
We understand that this has been a frustrating experience, but labeling it a scam is not fair to the team who’s worked to accommodate you despite extended non-payment, unexpected infrastructure failure, and efforts to communicate and provide options throughout.
We remain committed to helping you get your machines back online and we’re still here to support you, whether through redeployment or shipment.

Very happy with everything
Very happy with everything. I bought my first L9 when the price of Doge was at an all-time high, but I've purchased a few more as the price of them came down to dollar cost average. Each time I purchase a new unit, it's online very fast. I'm very happy with the consistency.

Thank you so much for the kind words — we really appreciate your continued trust and support! It's great to hear that you've had a smooth experience with each deployment, and we're glad we've been able to get your units online quickly and consistently.
We're here to support you every step of the way. If you ever need anything or want to explore additional scaling options, just let us know.
Thanks again for being part of the Pickaxe community!

This is a risky proposition like most…
This is a risky proposition like most things in crypto but I knew I should have done more due diligence so I only have myself to blame. This investment might make sense if you can get these L9’s for under 8 grand not the 22K I spent. But there marketing was showing 4- 8 % returns per month- this have since removed from there marketing materials. I think I might get my money back in 4 to 4.5 years right when the useful life of the machine ends. This give an effect rate of zero rate of return not to mention the opportunity cost of just putting that 21 grand in the market that I commonly get 10% per year. Thank god I only bought 1 machine but for what I paid I should have got 3 L9’s - oh well live and learn
Response from Pickaxe MiningJun 26, 2025
We appreciate you sharing your experience — and we’re sorry to hear that your expectations haven’t aligned with the current market performance. You're absolutely right that crypto mining, like all areas of the digital asset space, carries inherent risk and is highly sensitive to broader market conditions.
For full transparency, we want to clarify a few important points:
All mining performance estimates we provide are based on real historical data, not projections, and are always clearly marked as subject to change based on token price, network difficulty, and other factors.
These disclaimers are present across our marketing materials, sales conversations, and contracts to ensure every client is fully informed before making a purchase.
At the time of your purchase, Dogecoin and related coins were near local highs — over $0.40 — and prices have since come down substantially, which understandably affects miner performance.
While we completely understand your frustration, we do want to note that this 1-star rating seems to reflect broader market volatility, not the level of service, communication, or transparency we've provided. We're proud of the support and clarity we offer throughout the purchase and deployment process, and we remain here to help you manage your miner long-term.
If market conditions improve — whether through price recovery or changes in mining difficulty — your operation could still see stronger performance moving forward.
Thank you again for your feedback, and we’re here if you need anything.
