Back in 2016 I decided to go cordless, I went to Home Depot, Lowes, Ace Hardware & Northern Tools plus I called some other tool retailers online and I asked all of them the same question.
“If you were going to a very remote Alaskan community what brand of cordless tools would you take with you?”
Everyone I Asked Said "Milwaukee"!
Even the guy at Lowes said Milwaukee and they do not sell them at Lowes!
I have seen so many more different tools come out from other manufactures since and I did the same survey about a year ago.
I got the Same Answer, Milwaukee!
I could not agree more,
I own 35 pieces of Milwaukee Cordless Tools and I could not be happier with all of them!
I would also like to mention their customer service is second to none!

Milwaukee customer service the best
Milwaukee tools are not the least expensive. But I am continually reminded of why I prefer them. Always happy with the performance.
However the customer service experience I had recently was top notch. They went more than beyond what I expected. Not only found the replacement saw guide for me but sent it quickly as well as a cap and measure tape for my loyalty.
Milwaukee is Fantastic I. My books!!!!

I am on both the M12 and M18 platforms
I am on both the M12 and M18 platforms. I cater to my batteries (don't drain them down to nothing. If I know they gonna run hot, I work 'em down to 25%, rest 'em and then use the "slow" charger to bring 'em back up to cap.) Long time storage is at 50%, checked with multimeter, not the lights. Stored at 75° in low humidity.
Recently had a M12 6.0 go completely dead on me (within the warranty period), and an M18 8.0 with significant decreased performance. Took them both to the Waukie Service Center in San Antonio, they checked them both, and determined they were bad. One week later, I was given new recently made batteries.
Customer support is everything these days. Waukie sold me on their hard to beat performance, and warranty. Also to note, that they have service centers in major metro locations for warranty or service related issues. What other tool company has that? Waukie is at the top of the game IMHO. Nothing is perfect, but this company strives in customer satisfaction for sure.
You will pay a bit more for the tools and battery, but remember, you are also paying for the insurance/ warranty, and a company that truly stands behind their products.
I see the reviews of others that say they were rejected, or dismissed. Remember y'all, there are two sides to every coin. I can't even imagine Milwaukee dismissing a customer, as that has been the farthest thing from my experience.
I have witnessed individuals coming into the service center with tools and batteries that are mangled from abuse, and asking for replacements. Seriously? These are most likely the bad reviews, trumped up, that you are reading. Don't fall for it, Milwaukee is one of the last true quality companies out there.

Knife replacement…
I bought a knife model #48-23-1995 and the tip broke off unexpectedly. I called the customer service number(incredibly efficient) that directed me immediately to Twyla who explained that my model was discontinued, but sent me the newest model at no charge! Great service. Thank you, Milwaukee :)
