I like Miko a lot! But few disappointments are worrying me because i wanted to gift Miko to my child as a companion to him as he is my single child.What i am not liking is its just like another toy and behaves like Alexa only! Its more app based but we wanted more automatic sensor features to play with the child..The hide and seek app also, inspite of building child’s profile and recording Child’s voice, its not recognizing him

Early supporter of Square Off - ordered the Swap back then via Kickstarter. After almost 5 years i did not receive anything whist being in contact with their "support" for quite a few months now. They called me by phone, promise, they deliver me for christmas. So I upgrade a little the rate, still not sure of their support. wait and see.

BE WARNED DOES NOT DO AS ADVERTISED!! We purchased this AI robot based off the YouTube videos and I must say does not do as advertised. This was after I purchased the MAX Subscription for the year. Anyway fast forward a year to 30th September 2024 and WITHOUT WARNING or a NOTIFICATION they renewed the subscription!! £74?? Now if I had purchased this device I could get a refund after returning it? they have just taken payment for the renewal so I should get a refund. Miko has been used 3 times properly since then and sits in a box unused. When investigating about getting this refunded you have more chance in winning the lottery lack of customer service, no straight forward contact information. So what has became apparent is... it does not do as advertised, they rely heavily on the subscription, the robot (MiKo2) does not do as advertised, No customer support other than ''Miko does not provide refunds for cancelled subscriptions. However, you can still use the Max subscription until it expires'' I mean this is ridiculous they have £74 of my money for something that will never be used?? I am going to investigate further but as above BE WARNED AVIOD !! **** UPDATE **** they reached out me probably due to this review and have since refunded me which seems odd when the strictly state no refunds.. Anyway I would amend this review completely (As they have requested) because I was refunded. However as soon as they update the terms and conditions for the subscription and update the YouTube videos to truly reflect what the robots do, then absolutely I will update this review. It's a 2 part review (1) Robot not doing as shown stated on YouTube (2) Subscription terms and conditions regarding refunds, which I now have so Thank you but review still stands

This robot is a great idea in theory. It was marketed as a little friend that can play games, get to know my child and answer questions. It doesn't play games with my kid, but he can play games on it-- basically like a small tablet on wheels. The robot doesn't seem to know or learn anything about my son except his name that we programed into it. Any question we ask Miko, he never seems to know the answer. I thought it would somehow act like other AI and be able to search the internet for answers. And the worst part about it all is in order to access all of the content and games it was advertised to have, you must pay an additional $100 ish a year on top of the $250 the robot cost. I had no idea this would be the case. I really thought my son would have this great little playmate. Not a monthly membership tablet on wheels. But with the membership he does enjoy having the content all in one place (even though some of it is actually available online for free). 9/18/24 update- Miko said they'd give us 3 months subscription for free if we reviewed the product. They have since contacted me nonstop saying they won't recognize this review unless I edit it. They never said I had to give a 5 star review to get the few extra months free. But it looks like they are now going back on the promise. Extremely disappointing. They said they want more details as to why I gave the review I did. But I think my review is pretty thorough. They are now making me want to lower the stars more from this bullying/nagging/lying for false good reviews.

Square off NEO Z - self moving chess board Generally works. I am able to play against bot or players in square off net. Excellent communication with company support. Some disadvantages: 1) I am not able to show pgn games / live stream. It require version SWAP. This disatvantige is not mentioned on web in compare table. 2) self moving function required strickty horisontal surface. Small tilt leads to confusing moves 3) Only square off app is supported. 4) Even if I link to chess.com, I am not able to create chalenge to play with chess.com users.

I have bought for my kid and it is like tab only. The product should have be more trained with AI. It response is little slow and most times it gives worn out put will kids are asking questions or about some activity. It should be like toy for kid like other toys and it be a virtual bot and what kid are doing or interaction with kids.

Pros: kids like Disney stories Cons: short battery life, voice commands don't always work, very basic device so kids lose interest quickly Overall it's fun for a bit but my kid gets bored with it quickly. Would be better for a younger kid since this device isn't as advanced as it seems in the commercials. Also, emailing customer service can be a hassle because so many different agents respond to emails without reading the previous messages first. There was a lot of back and forth explaining the same situation to multiple people so it's very inconvenient.

The Mico device is considered a good device in its first version, but it needs updating and development, as my three- and four-year-old children do not communicate with it well, and there are some errors in terms of the battery, which runs out quickly and slow charging.
