I went and had a oil change, just a simple $20 oil change. After all was said and done according to them. I need a new battery, tire, struts, alignment, gaskets all around. They wanted a total of over $4000. I paid the 20.00. This morning, I went and got my battery tested, it's less than a year old and doesn't need replaced. Nothing they said was true. Shame on you Midas.

This business is an absolute joke
This business is an absolute joke. If I could give them a -5 star rating I would. The amount of times that they've messed up is absolutely pathetic. I understand that no one is perfect and the odd mistake may happen, but Midas has messed up EVERY TIME for me. After my first experience with Midas they ended up messing up with an air filter, i can't remember exactly what happened but they either didn't put it back or clean it or something (all i really remember is that they messed up). My next experience with Midas, the car was running loud and I brought it back the next day and it turns out they left a tool under the hood. And finally my most recent experience, my car was running loud again, the gear changes were being weird and it was smelling like gas or oil or something inside the car. I looked under the hood, and they forgot to put the oil cap back on, and my engine was covered in oil. They refused to give me a refund, stating that it wasn't done on purpose. Absolutely pathetic.

fraudulent fail of safety inspection
had brake inspection and was told would need brakes soon, had 3 mm remaining on pad, was asked if i wanted quote to repair and i declined. then yearly safety inspection done and was told tech failed due to 3 mm of brake pad remaining and he heard a squeak. based on the ncdmv regulations for failing a car d/t foot brake issues none of above are listed. 2 other inspection station technicians state that it is illegal to fail inspection for those reasons. And the car does not squeak. called midas complaint line and filed complaint, was told they would get back to me within 2 weeks and they didn't. called again and was told they would get back to me in 24-48hrs.and haven't as of 24hrs.

Do not waste your time folks
We got an oil change done at Midas located on Nairn Ave, Winnipeg. A month later oil level signal started indicates every time when the vehicle was turning or braking which means that the amount of oil they filled is not enough. We booked another appointment at the same branch on October 02, 2020, and got a card with the day and time of booked service. My wife took time off the work and came to the place at the booked time. But they say that they forgot to input us into the system and asked to wait about an hour and a half or reschedule the service for another day!
Three weeks later we booked an oil change service online in another branch of Midas located at Henderson Hwy, Winnipeg, hoping to get a better service. The Customer Service responded by email and rescheduled my appointment for a half-hour earlier (5 PM) then I booked it.
To be on rescheduled time at the Service-shop, I had to leave my work earlier which means losing my earnings, but I accepted it.
When I showed up at the shop at 04:55 PM on October 30, 2020, they said that I have to wait about an hour and 45 min, because they are busy with other customers' vehicles.
I showed the email with the service time that Midas provided to me, explained my situation with my work and shared my previous experience with Midas. The response of the branch manager - Dave Richardson was: "What do you want me to do...? ...we are busy at this time of the year!" and he declined to start to work on my vehicle on time.
As well, he noted that the online customer service has no clue how that works in reality and they provide the wrong time frames for booking appointments online. I said I don't think that this fact could be an excuse for that situation. I expected to get understanding and service, but they didn't provide any solutions for me except the option for rescheduling or one hour and 45 minutes of waiting.
We are really disappointed and frustrated with such a poor service and neglected approach of Midas' representatives to their customers.
My recommendation for people would be - do not waste your time folks, and bypass this company that neglects and doesn't respect its customers.

Midas Wellington had great service for…
Midas Wellington had great service for us. Based on this we visited to Midas Auckland Manukau and very bad customer service and very car full they tried to get as much as from customer and very unfair bill. We are not going to any Mida any more is the end of the story.

Midas in Anderson Cincinnati used to be great
Midas in Anderson Cincinnati used to be great, been going there for about 20 years now, same vehicle all this time a 1990 Volvo 740. In the past if they couldn't figure out my problem they said so, most of the time they could. This time they McGyvered a 'repair' with a Kia relay, didn't admit that it was problem, didn't even bother checking the distributor cap which was big contributor. The techs out there should be ashamed calling themselves mechanics. Not even a partial refund, needless to say never going to a Midas again. Told them I wouldn't come back if they couldn't admit the mistake and resolve it, the mechanic said he didn't care if I didn't come back. If that's how they treat a 20 year long customer, think how they will treat you.

I did not get what i paid for.
I paid for an oil change. It included a tire rotation which I did not receive and I wanted the tire pressure checked and set to 35 lbs. I did not get this either. I got an excuse that they can't mix costco nitrogen with air. Which is totally untrue. Location: Waipahu Midas, Oahu, HI
