went to get an oil change and next thing i see is my car up in the air with all the tires off and this guy up in the suspension with tools??????? I said the the guy at the desk why is my car up there with all the tires removed I asked for an oil change. He said oh we do a tire rotation as a courtesy and check everything over. I said look just do the oil change I know everything that needs tobe done with the car. Still the guy is up in my suspension with tools 15 minutes later. I was pissed and I needed to get going as well so I went to the guy again and I said can you put my tires back now the way they were!!! He definitely did not like me at all. Day after getting oil change done i get a drumming sound while on the highway. I just had the suspension redone three weeks aso which is making me feel out of spite this guy did something like ofset my alignment or something which I also had done hree weeks ago. I am going to pu the car up i the air and see whats going on as soon as the heat lets up. NEVER AGAIN MIDAS!!!!!!

Midas got our gold
Never EVER will we recommend Midas. (Madison/ Nashville, TN) We had it towed to them on Monday. Scott at Midas said we needed a new battery before they could test it. We told him the battery was good and didn’t need it. Scott claimed it wouldn’t take a charge and a new one was a necessary. “I’ll take care of you, Boss”. He did to the tune of $218! He then said he would call on Tuesday but didn’t so my husband called them around 6 pm. He got in touch with Ken because Scott wasn’t working that day. Ken told us that it was the EVAP canister which was so full of gas fumes that nothing could get past it. He said it could be fixed but the part would take a week to receive and their cost would be $600. Wednesday, Scott told us that the wire to the canister appeared to be cut on purpose but that it isn’t why the car wouldn’t run. He would have his guy do a pinpoint and find the problem. His mechanic unhooked the fuel line and wires to the dashboard (per Crest Honda). Friday around 10 am, Scott called and said they found nothing. It was an electrical problem and they couldn’t fix it. We had it towed once more and took it to Crest Honda. After it was examined by their technician, it was discovered that a beetle was plugging the mass air flow sensor. NO REPAIR NEEDED! It took a half hour to diagnose and remove the bug while it took an hour to fix everything that Midas unhooked. If Midas had finished their job with everything reconnected, our bill with Crest would have been $83 instead of $250.

If I could give less than 1 star I most…
If I could give less than 1 star I most certainly would. My experience has been an absolute nightmare. Not only did they put my life at risk but anyone on the freeway any where near me. The catalogue of inconceivable downright dangerous errors and mechanical issues they committed from leaving bolts out of my brake calipers not checking my front wheel bearing which collapsed within a few days of supposedly being checked. Wth? Throwing my ford excursion across the freeway at 70 mph they left out lug nuts not tightening my lug nuts to torque and charging me $3000 for the privilege of doing so but they are now denying that it ever happened this all happened at the Medford Oregon branch owned by some guy named Daniel who has not even the guts to contact me. I shall be suing all of those involved they have not a leg to stand on for criminal negligence and unfortunately for them I ( with no arrogance involved) always always win Timothy Soal 602 693 5791.

Be Afraid. Be VERY AFRAID of this Midas!
On June 14, 2021, I brought my vehicle into this Midas location to have the front brake pads changed, 6689 Route 9 North, Howell, New Jersey 07731. Because I was the only customer in the shop, Fernando, the manager, consistently engaged me in conversation. He somehow managed to talk me into paying for two new front rotors. After reluctantly agreeing to this additional charge, Fernando talked me into having my brake and coolant fluids drained and replaced. I was skeptical about these ancillary charges but relented simply because I always had faith in the Midas name.
The next morning while driving, my vehicle’s temperature gauge suddenly shot up to high. At the same time, my check engine light became illuminated and my car began emitting an “emergency” sound. Trust me, if you heard it, you would immediately know that it was the sound of doom. Absolutely nothing good could come out of the vehicle making this steady loud annoying noise. I then smelled the anti-freeze in the engine from under the hood. Before I had the opportunity to pull over, my car overheated and shut down. By then the anti-freeze had spewed all over the engine and smoke began rising up all over the place.
I then called Fernando and he said that he’d send two of his employees right over to my location. He relayed to me how it would take two people to fix the problem, not just one. Many hours later, when the two employees finally came to my location, they both told me that this problem was caused by the other employee who changed the fluids the day before. I am not a mechanic, but from what I gathered while they were fixing the problem, they said he had made a crucial mistake by allowing air bubbles to get inside the coolant. When air gets into this sealed system, air pockets can form and cause blockages, which can lead to bubbling and overheating.
Both of the employees were very professional and were exceedingly apologetic. They emphasized repeatedly that this problem should never have happened. They insisted that I should have my money refunded as it was 100 percent Midas’ fault for hiring an inexperienced and careless worker. The both of them were there fixing the problem for two to three hours. They told me this is how long it generally takes to have all of the air bubbles removed from the coolant once air gets into it. Before they left, they refilled the anti-freeze and then gave me the container with the remaining coolant.
I only have adulation for these two employees, but only contempt for Midas for negligently hiring an inept, unqualified employee.

Don’t trust your vehicle to them ,my 17…
Don’t trust your vehicle to them ,my 17 year old grandson took his car to the Midas in Englewood,Ohio yesterday (07/20/2021) to have his brakes repaired!teplaced, this is his first car and he took it there because it’s right next door to where he works. They saw him coming and boy did they rake him over the coals-they charged him over a thousand dollars and told him he had to have a complete brake job,he was so ashamed of how much they charged him that he didn’t want to tell us,today we called to discuss the matter with the manager and at first he chuckled (really!!!) and then got really nasty.Shame on you Midas for taking advantage of a young hardworking teenager, please DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO MIDAS,you will be overcharged and they will do nothing to correct the situation.
