Went in to have brakes replaced and they have outrageous pricing. Double over others in Henderson. Would not recommend them to anyone. I don't mind paying a fair price for work done but this was ridiculous 😒. They wanted to give the bs answer of products they use, but really are they any different than others. If you don't mind getting screwed on pricing by all means go there.

Back in May 27 I made an appointment to bring my car into the Midas Muffler shop on Nairn Ave. I have never dealt with these people before, but they were in a convenient location and I was told they did car A/C. It will never happen again. I am not accustomed to being jerked around. On the Saturday of my appointment they did a performance test and recharged the unit at a cost of almost $200. They said that the compressor was worn out, and there were none in this country. It would cost $1,908.05. So I asked them to order the unit from another country, and made an appointment for the following Saturday. That came around and the part still had not arrived. The Saturday after the part had arrived, but they said it had been damaged in transit. I looked at it, and it looked fine to me. They were going to order another compressor and make another appointment for the following Saturday. Then that next week they said they did not have a technician to do the work on Saturday. OK, can I go to your other location? Then they told me that the following Saturday they would indeed have a technicon to do the work. An appointment was made for Saturday June 17 at 8 AM. I arrived at the appointed time and they told me that I was supposed to be there the day before on a Friday. That was the last straw. I am not sure if they are sharletins or just incompetent, but they will not play me again. I will take my losses and find another company that can just replace the darn A/C compressor.

Oplichters… Ik ben mechanieker bij Mercedes en kreeg net een nieuwe klant binnen dat zei dat het hier veel goedkoper is.Ze heeft haar fiat 500 binnengedaan bij Midas en ze hebben zogezegd een sibusieriem vervangen terwijl de auto deze niet had, ze hebben ook nog andere dingen erbij gerekend die niet moesten. Amateurs en oplichters noem ik Midas.

Midas lied to me. They told me my shocks were rotted out and that they could not fix it after taking my $500 and promising me a lifetime guarantee. I hit a pot hole what they soldered broke, and when I took it back they said that my lifetime warranty did not cover what broke, and that my car could not be fixed! ...I found an automotive fabricator who fixed my car! They are not interested in customer retention on Elmira Road, in Ithaca, NY. If you need minor work ok, if you need major work get a 2nd, 3rd opinion. I am very angry they lied to me! They had me looking for a new car only to find out it could be fixed, and now I am driving lovely!

My experience with Midas was horrible. I was cheated, mistreated and disrespected. I do not know what they did to my car. March 8, 2023, I took my car to Midas (1697 Montgomery Highway, Hoover, AL 35216), for brakes. I did not have an appointment. The brakes were $$563.85. March 23, 2023 (15 days later), my brake light came on and I did not have any brakes. I took my car back to Midas, immediately. I tried to explain what was happening when I applied the brakes. The manager stated that I needed an appointment. I asked if someone could check my car to see if it was safe to drive. The manager stated that he did not have a mechanic to check my car. He stated that the car will be fine as long as I do not drive a long distance. I was given an appointment for March 24, 2023, at 8:00 AM. May 24, 2023, I was told that I needed to have the brake line replaced. The total cost would be $978.23 (parts $234.97 and labor $655.94). The manager stated that after replacing the brake line, they will drive the car to see if the transmission was causing the brake line problem. He stated that it was too dangerous to drive the car, prior to having the brake line replaced. He stated that if it was the transmission, he did not know how much it would cost; he will tell me later. I told him to take my car off the rack. The manager tried to force me to put my signature on the credit card terminal (a blank screen). He stated that if I did not sign the screen, he could not give me my key. I told him to keep the key. When I was leaving with my extra key, he ran outside and gave me my key. I sent a certified letter to Midas’ President & CEO and a copy to the owner and the Better Business Bureau. To this date, I have not received a response from the President & CEO. After my bad experience, I read the bad Midas rating. I understand the bad rating. I would give Midas a zero, if that was an option. Do not take your car to Midas in Hoover, AL. I do not want anyone to have this horrible experience.

My converter was sawed out. Was told they might have to replace the exhaust manifold due to flange being rusted in place and bolt spring on one side removed, causing it to torq to one side with other heavy duty spring in place on other side. Took pictures that day. Brought in again on 5/10 due to my check engine light being on, not only did they tell me she had a leak there now but when I got her back the next day she now has here VSA light on and they refuse to accept responsibility. Called the attorney general to report this business and filed a report as they refuse to accept responsibility despite the promise that they back up their work. Only way to resolve it? Call the place that did it to you and hope their in a good mood.

I was given a quote of $500 for front brakes at one Midas store on Alpine Ave. Grand Rapids, mi..... then I went to another store on Plainfield ave. because I could get in quicker. That store is just 5 miles away!! they charged me over $700. The manager would not honor the other quote. I asked before I went there if they had all the parts etc. he said yes, but then said he couldnt find brake rotors.... I asked why the other store quote was $200 less... he said it was wrong.... very dishonest! How could one store do it for $500, and one 5 miles away charged 40% MORE??? VERY DISHONEST!

This company is a disgrace, they don’t answer their phones or emails . Very poor service
