I just had my 2010 infinity repaired by Midas on Goddard road in Taylor Mi. They charged me $300 and $75 to install a battery. They also replace some Rad cooling fan and charged $429 for the part only. When I look on line for the part, $180 on line. What a bunch of crooks I have to contact BBB

Went in for a oil change, they informed me that I had major damage to my axle in car. The boots were torn and they need to be fixed ASAP. THEY LIED. The front tire had some damage on the inside and they didn’t let me know about this. Not sure if they rotated the tires even. The oil change is a no brained they have deals but the BS sales not sure if it’s worth it. Honestly would’ve been nice I hate being BS

I brought my car recently because it got a nail inside of a tire. That Saturday, I left the car around 11:30 and got it back around 3:30pm. Right after I left, I had to call Back because the tire was still showing low and I had to let them know . They said that was strange. They asked me to bring the car again on Monday early morning . I was there at 9:00 and waited until 10 am with no update on the re- evaluation or for when or how long it will take. I left the place and called them after 1pm to follow up again, because they never called me back. I went there again around 3:00 pm And when I asked if I could see the extra pinch they found. They took the car back to the ramp and started removing the tire again and putting it in water bucket or something I did not know until I asked . I explained to a lady my concerns and worry and why I needed to see the pinch, because of the possibly option that someone could have created something in my tire because I had someone with a previous issue in the parking space where I am staying . I told her that I was waiting since 9:00 am wanted to determine why the air was still escaping out. With no apologies or reasons of why I had to wait too long . She went to the front desk and shared with another guy about my situation in “Spanish “ like I was bothering them, in a despectivo way “ even mentioned that I complained about the time , and used the word “vaina” ...even though the “supervisor knew “ I was there for many hours he didn’t have the courtesy to come to me to let me know something or any reasons. Then after more 20 or 30 minutes she said , finally they found it . And she just pointed out to me with her fingers asking me to come to her. I noticed too, when I was there how a “man” was waiting for his tire and the same lady took her phone and showing him a picture where the pinch or nail in his car was. It maje me feel if I will come with a man I could be more respected or I guess that I was not the typical “Miami beach woman “ dressing out in sexy clothes or a I was not a man so they could play with my time and don’t even say I apologize for all this time waiting . Something that in Miami every business should know , a person might speak more than three languages and one of them for sure it will be Spanish. They said they fixed the initial problem ( 5 hours waiting) when I brought it, and the other pinch was detected later. I have the right to see the issues they found and it was not acceptable waiting more than 7 hours to let me know they found another small pinch . My car was not showing any sign or air pressure until the same day that Friday afternoon. And it is Mercedes 2015, I can see the alerts and I of course will know if the issue was something old which it was not the case.

I wanted an oil change but the local oil shop was lined up to the street. I noticed Midas is now a total care system including oil changes. So, I decided to get it done here. They did this only after an un-solicited, free courtesy inspection and found all kinds of doom and gloom items. They were wondering how I able to drive my Toyota to their shop. Obviously an upselling technique. I went along with this and requested a written estimate for everything they claimed was wrong. Then, said no. One thing I agreed with however, was the front brakes. I actually didn’t realize how bad they were because they were still performing well. However, they proved that one of the calipers were frozen as far as their self-adjusting ability. Even though the pistons still work the adjusting ability will cause uneven pad wear. This is because they can’t slide along their mounting pins or grooves depending on the configuration. So, I allowed for a complete front brake job and even sprung for new rotors. Therefore, I can’t complain about this particular part of the upsell. My complaint is about the quality of the parts used. They replaced the old Toyota brand calipers that were not at all rusted. Their brand rusted within a week. I noticed it thru the wheel slots. Took off the wheels for closer inspection. The calipers and rotors looked like they were from a salvage yard. The other big complaint is based on an estimate I actually wanted but they never gave. If you ever heard the term, “Midasize It,” it refers to their primary service which is exhaust systems. However, this Midas doesn’t do exhaust. That is, they have no welding or bending ability as all exhaust shops do. They can only install bolt on exhaust parts. There it is. A Midas that wants to do everything else but the exhaust work they were founded on.
