What a pleasure to walk through the empty streets of lockdown London to find the flagship Holborn branch open and welcoming. Very helpful cashier sorted out new card PIN problem, and noted that smiling Mr Byron, the manager, was cheerfully ensuring high standards by working behind the main counter. Despite some problems sometimes (and which bank hasn’t?), Metro still has an individual touch to its identity. Shares are currently a VERY good buy.....

When this bank started, they were enthusiastic, helpful, getting going – very proactive. Now they're not very much better than the others and in fact their systems are poor, IT systems are poor and their staff although are still enthusiastic, they don't really seem to know much about their systems and they seem to specialise in giving stock answers. Very good that they can replace a lost card within 10 minutes at a branch. Why can't the other banks do this? However, in the case of Metro Bank, new broom sweeps clean – and they're not new anymore.

The staff member Berkan was such a nice chap very helpful from start to finish very reassuring kind and polite he made my experience such a memorable one I’ll definitely recommend the bank to friends and family the service was excellent

Opening account for grandson made very pleasant experience. Advisor friendly, helpful and informative. Should have mentioned in earlier review we opened account at Solihull branch and Advisor’s name was Luke.

I opened an account in early November. I am still waiting for my customer 12 digit ID. This despite several requests. If this ever arrives I will be unable to use it as my "Magic Word" has now expired. ( contained in Metro's letter of 11/11/19). I am told that my money has arrived safely which is a relief. However I understand that this money has now been transferred to a different fixed rate account and I am not able to log in and see the details. I spoke to a member of staff today who suggested the problem is Christmas Post. Hardly the issue in November. I suggested that this ID number be sent first class and signed for but the person I spoke to was uncertain that this could be done. I now wonder whether I will ever be able to access my account.

Absolutely awful bank! I have had to dispute a transaction, was told 7 days so 7 days later I called back and was told another 7 days then I was told the refund will be made today, no refund then again Itl be done latest by so and so date..... still no refund. Everytime I call someone tells me something different, no Consistency, constant request of evidence even though they don’t bother to attach it to my case! Waste of time Iv spent hours on the phone to this bank and once my dispute is resolved I will be going elsewhere!

I got excellent service from Metro Bank woodgreen with Hassan. Had a same day appointment, i didn't have to wait. Hassan was very friendly, answered all my questions overall i was very satisfied with the services.. Thany so much Hassan...
