Very poor service. Froze my elderly parents' account without notice and were unable to help at all over the phone. No one could even explain what had happened. They were constantly passed from one colleague to another with absolutely no resolution whatsoever!

Absolutely terrible bank. I had an injury claim payment sent to my account and the froze my account for no reason saying it’s fraud, how? When you have AI servers that check if the account it’s coming is legit or not. Once I get my money back I will be closing my account with metro as the are just also giving me unnecessary problems. Even when I was opening my bank account with them it was a hassle. DO NOT BANK WITH THEM

Online banking so bad - we have a joint account. My log in refused despite accurate input. . We tried to set up my husband to online bank and with correct data - 3 failures!

I HAVE BEEN WITH METRO BANK FOR MANY YEARS HAVE FOUND THE STAFF TO BE BOTH FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. WHEN THINGS HAVE GONE WRONG LIKE ALL COMPANIES DO THEY HAVE GONE OUT OF THEIR WAY TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. WELL DONE METRO BANK AND ITS STAFF

The absolute worst review I would ever leave for any business belongs to this horrible institution. The federal government needs to shut them down for fraud and MLF fees.

Probably the worst BANK ever I could see why this BANK is so close to going into liquidation as it has. The worst reputation made the mistake of opening the account here on my account has been blocked for the last 7 1/2 months despite repeated promises, they have failed to provide any access to funds.

Refused to open an account as due to disability l cannot provide a driving licence or passport. This is discrimination. I have proof of ID through my benefits, pension and service bills including gas water electricity and council tax. This according to Metro Bank is not enough. I now read in the references l and others have suffered from Metro Bank. Experian confirmed my credit record is excellent for holding a bank account

Online banking and app are absolutely useless as can't transfer funds outside the UK (even though we were told that wouldn't be a problem), so now every time we need to do this we have to call the phone line. Their phone lines will waste hours of your life and Ada (their AI bot) is insufferable. Worst banking experience ever- we are closing our account because the service is so bad.
