Meritline.comReviews of meritline.com

I purchased a bathroom scale that was non-functional when it arrived. They would not replace it unless I returned it which would of cost 2/3 the original price. Every time I posted a 1 star review of the scale it would get removed a few days later. Not a company I would spend more than $20 at as returns are hard and expensive and their products not the highest quality.

Years of good deals on printer cartridges and small electronic parts. Recently they sent incorrect item. When I requested RMA, I just got into an endless email requests for documentation. The low prices are not worth the aggravation of dealing with poor customer service.

I have mixed feelings about this company because while they've properly handled several problems with defective merchandise in a timely manner, the product makes me shy away from doing any more business with them. I've ordered a wireless mouse only to have them send a defective one and they promptly offered to send another one. That replacement never shipped and after more than a month, they refunded the cost. I ordered on in the first place because it was needed, and the delays were unpleasant. I've ordered a couple of flashlights only to find two of four batteries had bad contacts. They promptly offered to replace those defective units but it's been weeks now and nothing has arrived. Poor quality products seem to be the problem here, and great customer service just doesn't quite overcome the hurdles if you want something that works the first time.

2014: Meritline has an extremely poor return policy for defective items. The buyer must pay for return shipping on defective items so your choice is to pay a more to try it again or just cut your losses and keep the defective item. EDIT 2020: Meritline has been out of business for some time, now.

I ordered what was specified as 'printable' CDs from meritline and when I received them they were not printable....when I contacted them I was told that they were only printable on 'thermal' printers and not on ink jet printers (which is what 91% of people use including myself). After that I was told I ordered the 'wrong' CDs...of course I would not have ordered the 'wrong' CDs if meritline simply marked 'thermal printable' in the item description for the CDs in the first place....not good business. Oh plus I had to contact them initially over 3 times just to verify my shipping address.

My paste experience with merit line went ok. The prices are the best around for techy items but all around the product are from china very cheap and don't work for too long. The last headphones I purchased were awful, just had the worse sound, they must have been defective, my only serious issue was that meritline made me ship back the item when it was completely defective, if you sell junk, you should (as a company) pay for the shipping fees to be a good, well respected company. Got my money back but had a total waste of time and money in the process

Note: After sending a complaint e-mail to them, I received a call the next morning from a different customer service rep apologizing and offering full refund and honoring the promo price I received in the original order. I appreciate the quick and personal response to my complaint but am unhappy it had to reach that point. Again, order from this merchant at your own risk since their shipments will take close to a month to arrive and you should cross your fingers that nothing gets lost along the way. Original review: It has been almost a month since I ordered a red car optical mouse from meritline.com and I have not received the package. The order was sent to an old address (2 hours away from my current location) even though I explicitly noted that I made a change of address. After e-mailing the customer service rep, I received a lukewarm response, stating there is nothing they can do and they hope that I can "understand." Now I am stuck with tracking down this $7 order myself and driving 2 hours just to go pick it up, or I can just cut my losses now. This is honestly the worst online shopping experience I have ever had. I hope this review can save some of you from the head ache of dealing with such an unreliable, inefficient and non-responsive company.
