No hate but very bad. Here's why.
No hate first of all. I tried the challenge and I have obligation to say few things. Spreads are very high on every pair except EU and gold. If you want to trade pairs like EUR/CHF just don't. Commissions are SUPER high. "High water" drawdown rule is very hard to be understood so many traders go into it without knowing what they are applying to. If you make profit of 5% your drawdown shouldn't pass 5 percent from that highest point of your account. It's very hard to trade with that pressure because as we know trading is made of losses too. Also leverage,1:10?? Let put it this way. With leverage that low it's like you trade on much much smaller account with normal (1:300,500 leverage) ment is smart guy and he knows that a lot of newbies doesn't understand leverage to in that way you pay for let's say 50k account but in reality because of the leverage is Like you trade on 10k acc with high leverage. You can make the same amount of profits. Good thing about this firm, only good thing unfortunately,is no time limit, but for traders who know how to trade and use higher leverage, making 10 or 8 percent in month like other firms requesting is easy. Also other firms give you money back when you pass challenge and free retry if you are in profi. Here? Nothing. So I'm conclusion 1.5 out of 10 , would not recommend. Ment is smart guy and I'm not a hater I'm really not,I'm just objective. But the reality is that he made rules that are so hard so he makes a lot of money from failed challenges. And okay let's be it. Peace to you all and happy trading.

Hey man, this is Anton, mentfx, I appreciate that you took the time to write this out and that you don't mean in any hate; so I'd like to go over each of your points at potentially giving you better understanding of what we do or change your perspective in hopes that you alter your review to what I believe the firm deserves, anything 7 or above. Again, I'm coming at this from an objective view point and will just try to explain what I think, and hopefully we can meet half way as I think your review was unjust and unfair. 1. Spreads are very high - I mean you said it yourself, on most majors we have some of the most competitive and lowest spreads in the industry, consistent 0.0 across the board for EU and UJ and I believe 0.1-0.2 on some other majors. Gold at a consistent $1. Indices at very very low spreads too. Competitive spreads you don't really see even in industry standard firms. That said, the other more aloof pairs, or minors, or double minors (EURCHF, GBPNZD, etc) will have raised spreads - this is not a tactic of Ment Funding - this is directly the broker. We work with eightcap and their liquidity providers allow the spreads to be what they are. I think its unfair to shift the burden of higher spreads across some pairs (even though we have extremely competitive spreads) onto Ment Funding. If you have an issue with spreads over cross pairs and minors - you should consider leaving a review with Eightcap or talking to them directly - as this is completely out of the control of Ment Funding or myself. Additionally, commissions are extremely standard for the type of raw spreads you are receiving. Industry prop firm standard has anywhere from 0.2-0.4+ pips higher spread, which eats into profits on any open position in a much more significant way than our $7 per lot round trip commission - that said, Ment Fundign retains $0 profit on any commission's as we go directly thru Eightcap - and once again, I feel like its unfair for you to put the burden on Ment Funding for a broker standard. Ment Funding has no money or profit made on commissions, nor spread - these are all set by the broker (Eightcap). 2. "High water" Drawdown Rule is "hard to understand" - Yes, I agree. This wasn't done to profit off of people that don't understand it, instead, it was done to protect investor capital (real investor capital that goes to fund real live accounts WHEN people DO get funded) - and we've had a number of funded people. Because the Drawdown Rule, as you said, is harder to understand - we've taken it upon ourselves to leave IN DEPTH rules on our website, with examples providing every step of the way what would occur. Moreover, we've added visuals, more depth to the rule on our Instagram, created a video outlining the rule, and had myself (Anton/mentfx) go on one of the largest prop firm youtube reviewers to explain the rule in depth. It's not up to us if someone willing to TRADE WITH Ment Funding are NOT willing to read the rules or understand them prior to getting involved. We made it our mission to explain every aspect of our challenge as transparently as possible - and I believe we've accomplished this for anyone that has taken the time to review our website, our Instagram, or our youtube videos. People know what they are applying for - as you probably do too UNLESS they didn't take the time to read ANY of our rules - in which case the trader should NOT be operating or seeking to trade for ANY prop firm. Just because a rule isn't read, is not a good reason to attack a firm or leave a bad review. We are not like other firms, as you yourself have clearly outlined, so we strived to explain every aspect of our challenge from evaluation, to the funded accounts and everything a member with Ment Funding can expect. "If you make profit of 5% your drawdown shouldn't pass 5 percent from that highest point of your account" - I think you might have misworded this. Once you make 5% profit, your drawdown BREACH level locks in at the original starting balance and from there on our does NOT trail. "It's very hard to trade with that pressure because as we know trading is made of losses too" - yes, losses are part of the game - you should not be trading if you are feeling pressure to trade. That said, if you're upset about our rules putting pressure on you to trade - we have eliminated 2 steps, and eliminated the time aspect ENTIRELY, which means traders serious about their funding can simply reduce risk as they need allowing for the drawdown to be met significantly slower - giving them space to trade andhave their edge take effect- thereby, creating an atmosphere where it may take longer to profit or meet profit targets, however, to do so WITHOUT the pressure of time, 30 days, 60 days, or 2 steps. "Also leverage,1:10??........" - this is completely false and its clear you don't have a solid grasp of leverage in this case as well, in which case once again, if you do NOT have a solid understanding of the rules of the firm or of HOW trading works - YOU SHOULD NOT BE LOOKING TO GET FUNDED WITH A PROP FIRM, period. Trading at 1:10 leverage is NOT the same as trading a small account with high leverage, this is preposterous and a really really low end comment. IF you believe the above concerning lower leverage, I will be happy to charge you $750 for a $1000 account leverage at 1:1000, as that will provide the same BUYING POWER as a $100,000 leveraged at 1:10. Once again, with a quick analysis of that, you should be able to understand why there's a significant difference between LEVERAGE and BUYING POWER - account sizes with higher or lower leverage are NOT comparable. Please understand this. You CANNOT make the same amount of profit on the two accounts, 1% on $100,000 is $1000. 1% of $1,000 is $10. There is a large difference in the profits between +$10 and +$1000, indeed, there is a $990 difference. Which in my book is clearly different, despite the fact that BOTH accounts are the SAME buying power. "no time limit" - thank you, we're aware of what we offer and WHY we offer it. We're aware of how we take off the pressure of GOOD traders and how we put the pressure on GAMBLERS. "good traders who know how to trade make 10 or 8 percent in month..." - yes, good traders, including the funded traders at Ment Fundign are able to generate phenomenon profits. We have payout proof on our Instagram and more to come of individuals pulling out over $70,000+ in withdrawals from 1 month alone. Traders that KNOW how to trade, as you claim, also KNOW how to reduce risk accordingly to lower leveraged scenarios. Instead of forcing 10 percent months guaranteed, or 8 percent months in which case they DONT PASS THE CHALLENGE OF OTHER FIRS - can take their time and achieve their evaluation profit target on any time they need to. "Also other firms give you money back when you pass challenge and free retry if you are in profi. Here? Nothing." - correct, we fund you with REAL money once you're a funded trader with us - and use real investor backed capital which we will also AIM to protect for every account. That said, we charge a 1 time fee, and this is something explained on the website, in our rules, in-depth. Once again, you are attacking a firm for doing something transparently and pointing out EXACTLY what you can expect when pursuing a account with us. Not all firms provide a FREE RETRY, and we don't NEED to provide a free retry, because you will never fail because of TIME. You can have unlimited free retries but it wont mean anything if you arent able to generate 10 percent a month consistently, which some traders that are extremely profitable don't need to do - we're happy going after those that are ready to trade millions of dollars and make less percent, but do it consistently. In conclusion, I hope you reconsider your current rating as I highly disagree and think its unjust. I think you put the burden of a lot of things on Ment Funding when its not our decision or our fault. Saying you don't recommend us its fine - please do so for the right reasons tho. It sounds to me like you "don't recommend Eightcap" and "don't like the fact that leverage is low" - but if that's the case I ask that you state that rather than the above. You drew some decent points, but a lot were rooted in misunderstanding, or bland ignorance of what we've done and how we've attempted to do it. I appreciate you taking the time to write your review, as well as read my response. I care for my company, I care for my students, and I am to give them a playground on which they can grow their skills indefinitely if they need to. The prop firm isn't for everyone, and I didn't intend for it to be for everyone, but I also expect people to take the time to understand what we offer. Altho we do make money on failed challenges, we all know what happens to firms that focus solely on the challenge failure aspect - bankruptcy. We are building a foundation for a long term future of high end trading at the finest level. Ment Funding LLC, Anton
