Oh dear
Oh dear. Yes to nearly all negative and all positive reviews. When I said hold on a minute! I have a situation where I need support from toxic family. I kept getting told off by one of the moderators for looking outside. Was given ridiculous and inappropriate advice about where to find practical support. I tried to express my situation was extreme, the exteme needs of my adopted and children with learning difficulties was actually humanly impossible for one person to meet. I was then told (again by Lily) - you are wrong and not working hard enough on the modules, you can do it alone! Go to social services, police etc (assuming I hadn't). I just couldn't get help elsewhere, the welfare state UK is broken! My son recently aged 17 had to go into care for my respite as he was so traumatized by my toxic divorce and needs plus estrangement from father. It was a dangerous situation and her advice and subsequent forum blocking hurt, just for challenging Lily on her advice and questioning the program. Apparently I was also over sharing truamatic story about the situation, but it felt patronising to me. It wasn't cool. Finally I do have respect for the program and MTE. Agree it may not work for all. Or me, as it did feel re traumatising because I was stuck, and I'm still using it sometimes as was allowed some access to past course, only blocked from community forum. Let's see if they close that when they get this review. I felt unfairly treated by someone who was not respecting my own intelligence and unique situation enough. I didn't get enough warning for the block either, so I'm sending the review here some year or so later as I was curious if I was alone in this experience. Clearly not.
