teach your employees to apricate customers, told one guy on the front that i was glad they were there and all he did was grunt, no smile or thank you plus he was sloppy. maybe he should work in the back of the store and not on the front.
i got a idea fire the looser

Zero willingness to assist customer
I’ve been to Meijer twice since I returned from a winter in Florida. The Publix grocery stores are the gold standard of customer assistance and helpfulness. They have clearly spoiled me. My visits to Meijer this month have proven to me they have scrapped the bottom of the barrel to get any help at all. 4 people totally ignored my simple questions. Clearly they have talentless people or they have huge labor problems and the customers are caught in the middle.

Last 5 weeks of app nightmares
Last 5 weeks of app ordering, 5 weeks of one mistake after another. I keep trying, giving benefit of the doubt, but I just keep getting more frustrated by the trip and order. App is in need of several fixes/updates...doesn't tell you prior to pickup full story of what's out of stock or substituted, then out of stock items cause you to pay full price for other items if those items are on sale or part of buy 7, save 7, etc.
You can not use paper coupons for app orders, you have no time frame to add to your order, and just try to get a refund on their app.
My last trip, I ordered 3-6pks diet coke, received 3-6pks caffeine free diet coke. Returned within 30 minutes to the pickup area, called in to the store and explained the problem. Was told I'd have to bring them in to the service desk for a refund. Does that not defeat the curbside pickup option? After waiting for them to check my order and check availability of stock, askiing if I brought the wrong ones back like that was necessary, they finally came out with what I ordered.
I dealt with these same issues with Kroger, and finally gave up with frustration..that was over 2 years ago and haven been a Kroger customer since. Meijer is close to that same decision.

Employee on cell phone instead of working.
Everything was fine until I went to check out. The girl at the area where you check yourself out was looking at her cell phone the whole time. I finally went over to ask for help since something I was purchasing didn't have a tag. She didn't say 1 word to me even though I spoke to her. I felt thst and her manner was rude. Then she went right back to her cell phone. I was there at around 6:30 at the checkout area nearest to 9th street at the West Main Kalamazoo, Michigan Meijer.

Like the store usually zero to complain…
Like the store usually zero to complain about, but do not buy the meijer brand cat litter in the 35lb size unless you are prepared to cut the lid off or worse yet possibly cut yourself in the process like I did. The packaging is impossible to open without a razor knife. I've never had this issue until they changed the packaging. I know I'm not the only one with this issue considering I know others who have had the same problem. Meijer if your listening please look into this.

Should be zero stars!
Should be zero stars!
I’m so tired of Meijer in Englewood! One …. Yes one cashier working to ring up items. I go to the self checkout, which I don’t like doing…. Ring all my things up and the …. Customer needs assistance pop up….. the workers practically runs over…. Punch in his code. I ask “ why did that pop up?” He said they thought you had more things in your cart….. I yell TRASH! All that was in there was my cell phones, my keys, the wipes that I clean the cart handle with and an empty produce bag because they did not have bananas!
If they think everyone is a thief…. HIRE MORE HUMANS TO WORK…. GET RID OF SELF CHECKOUT!
I don't need to steal anything!

Today May 1rst 2024 I used self check. My olive oil rang up full price tho it was marked clearance on the shelf. I called the clerk for assistance. She was extremely rude. She told me go get a picture. I told her I'm handicap and I can't go all the way back again. She said well there's nothing I can do then! Which is a lie #1. . I've worked self check. Then I asked her to call a mgr. She pretended she did and comes back and says well she says it was marked wrong and nothing they can do lie # 2. I went to service desk and a nice young man did help. This is ridiculously bad customer service. I went back all the way to the olive oil to retrieve a new one and guess what the so called mgr that went to check left the same sticker in the same spot so what every customer can try and buy it and get ripped off also. Wouldn't you remove the sticker if it's not on sale. This leads us back to the original lie... Noone really checked! Guess what I got my olive oil for 4.68 as it was marked by another employee who knows what customer service is all about!
However I don't want to shop at this location again.
