MediumReviews of medium.com

Good platform for reading and writing. The design is clean and easy to use and many article are really helpful. The paywall can be annoying sometimes, but still a good platform.

I read articles about programming and they are quite good. Not perfect, but still among the best guides I found so far. Most of the times, the content is of high quality. Some content is paywalled but I'm still in the free tier.

Medium is an online platform which is designed for writers to showcase their talent, share their stories, build readership, and create a community of people who cherish their work and give feedback. It is one of the best platforms for writers, especially beginner writers, to start their journey. It is also a great place for readers to learn new things and get in touch with their favorite writers in real time. There are as many topics as one can think of. One can customize what they should be shown which is my personal best option on Medium. But wait a minute, they also pay you on Medium. With Medium Partnership Program, writers can get paid for their stories. Some writers make hundreds on dollars on Medium which is a great incentive for many to keep publishing quality content on the platform. One thing that I don't appreciate is the increasing assault of AI generated content on Medium. Hundreds of such articles are being published every day and thousands of people are just there for reciprocal activities in hopes of earning a few bucks. Although the moderators are doing an excellent job at filtering and terminating such practices but it's not enough to keep a well balanced environment. This can sometimes lead to frustration due to which I'm giving Medium 4 stars out of 5. It's worth the time if you want to learn, explore, and interact with some of the best minds from around the globe.

There is nowhere else you can get paid to write as a beginner. You will get a ton of support into the bargain. The platform doesn't pay as well as it used to but its a great place to start.
