Disgruntled ex employee. …
I worked for a company bought by m&b for 3and half years as a delivery driver in late August I was called into the office by my manager with him was one of the big bosses from m&b whom I will not name. I was told in no uncertain terms that my job as driver was being made untenable in September, I was given 3 options 2 of which were being given a job by 2 delivery companies one of which was basically going to take over the job I was doing and delivering to all the sites I was doing.the other option was redundancy I was given just over a months notice of this which frankly totally stank. The commitment, energy, not to mention no sick leave, lateness or ringing in sick meant for nothing ,my wife was totally devastated about this and put her on the brink.i had to act quickly and get a job, luckily I managed to do this but lost out on any redundancy I would have been owed.ok, it was my choice but the way I was treated as a loyal hardworking person was a sham at 62 they could have least let me finish my days its all about money at the end of the day, companies like this are cold and heartless and care not for people its all about profit.its things like this that tip people over the edge.so, shame on you mitchells and butler and all you stand for.
