Dead on Arrival
I'm not sure what's going on at Maxaroma.com but I've received 2 fragrances that have arrived smelling like nothing but alcohol. I took the liberty to travel to 3 fragrance stores between Chicago and Indianapolis to smell the fragrances directly. What I found is that the Silky Woods and Red Tabacco that I ordered smelled nothing like their offline counterparts. It would seem that Maxaroma claims that fragrances are authentic but that's not a guarantee that they will be stored well enough not to be expired. I understand that their fragrances are heavily discounted but is that at the cost of quality? I've decided that I'd rather pay the higher cost to get the results I want for the money that l'm spending. They say you get what you pay for. Silky Woods was 120 dollars cheaper than the direct website so I can see why now. Red Tabacco is supposed to rival PDM, but how when I received something without a smell to it? Either they're fake or poorly stored. Note: I called customer service about the issue and was told that it made no sense to get a replacement as all of the product would most likely to be the same. How does that make sense UNLESS they knew that they've been selling bad/expired batches?
