Thanks for sharing this — we understand why it felt unfair. Most research studies have quotas set by the client, and sometimes those fill while someone is still completing a survey. When that happens, responses stop being accepted and incentives aren’t issued, which is a standard practice across the research industry, not unique to Maven. The “training” you mentioned is our annual consulting orientation video for anyone who may take part in paid consulting or surveys, so you won’t be prompted to watch it for every project. Your time matters to us, and we’re working on clearer upfront messaging around quotas and eligibility.
