I am a top set student, always been a high ability student, before sparx I never complained about homework, now every week I dread my homework, I get reminded of my sparx and it genuinely ruins my day. Sparx has brought me to tears so many times and close to smashing my phone countless times. With sparx, you have to do the online homework, write all the questions and answers down, prove you have written it down just to continue, and if you get it wrong you get more. Not just that if you get a question wrong you can’t finish your homework and you can’t move on, it’s frustrating and often I’ll just get stuck in a loop of answering the same question with different wording again and again, and after all that it gives me harder questions. The videos don’t even help, the narrator are either sluggish and uninspired or patronising and the videos don’t even help you answer the question it helps you answer a SIMILAR question which doesn’t help at all. One thing that bugs me is that 5% completion and 95% completion are the exact same to the system, basically if you don’t get all 100% of your questions right then you’ve failed. How are we expected to get every question right on our homework when we aren’t expected in lessons?!?! There’s room for mistakes in lessons, teaches and peers can help but no not with this. It’s even more frustrating when if you don’t get a FULL 100%, you get punished and sanctioned in real life, in my school it’s a negative and then an after school detention, I have to miss my own time after school because I couldn’t answer one question?!?!? INSANE. It is genuinely that bad that countless kids I know and online use bots or ai to complete their sparx. It seemed genius at first but it has got to the point where you can see how long a child has spent completing their homework, and at my school if you complete it in 6 minutes that’s too quick and you get sanctioned for that too. So now there is no way around cheating and completing it, and no room for failure. It’s like it targets the kids who aren’t doing well in maths by giving them more bookwork checks and more annoying questions to get stuck answering. This app causes me a pain that no other homework app ever did. Educake and carousel I can handle but this, this is appalling. the amount of extra added academic stress this has caused me is unmatched and doing my homework feels more like a chore, I’d rather jump out the window. It is burning children’s passion for maths, I know kids in my class that are the best of the best of the best in maths, go out of school on outings to do maths challenges but even they dread the day sparx is due. WE NEED THIS OUT OF EVERY SCHOOL FOR THE SAKE OF CHILDRENS MENTAL HEALTH AND ACADEMIC PASSION!!! thank you

Holy crap it makes my brain hurt I can't do this anymore please get rid of this absoloutly dreadful app for the good of mankind. I failed a buisness studies test because I had no time to revise becausd I had to use this hell hole of a 'learning site' (genuine torture BTW) please stop using this. Everyone. Please.

My school makes me do this it is so bad so let say you all but one question woring it will say your homework is not done and the book work checks it says that some what is F5O with some answers pick the woring one they gave you more and if you do get a question woring it's like a loop of the question again and again of the same question or a small difference and if you are good it will make the questions harder and you get them woring so you can't lose or can you win it's just a big sad loop of pain if you are a school do not pay for it just don't get the kids won't do it

sparx maths is a terrible website that is torture for kids this app is making other children and myself stress about maths this should not be this way homework apps are suppose to fun , engaging but challenging and sparx maths is failing to that and is doing the absolute opposite .

I've never been on here, but my siblings have. After taking a look i just realized that its one of the most garbage "learning" platforms on this planet. it's rather holding your learning hostage. Please ban it.

Sparx maths is TRASH 🗑 😒 Like most of the questions on there I haven't even learned at my school! Also the bookwork checks... They think you can just memorize every question from the 7 parts of it . Mind you each part has like 5 - 8 questions . And if u couldn't answer ONE QUESTION you get a detention. Like make that make sense...
