Sparx is honestly exhausting, and most students and parents completely hate it. The biggest issue is that it doesn't give partial credit and forces a 100% completion rate. If you get a question wrong at the very end of your homework, you can’t just submit it for an 85% or a 90%. The system locks you out, drags you into a loop of questions, and refuses to let you finish until you get every single thing right.

They make math so bad everyone just uses ai and don’t even learn it’s just a big waste of time

Absolutely horrendous. This app has somehow turned maths into a full-time psychological warfare experience. Every time I open it, my last remaining brain cell files for resignation. The questions look like they were designed by someone who lost a fight with a calculator. I came here to learn maths, not question every life decision that led me to this moment. Even my calculator looks disappointed in me. 0/10. Would rather stare at a wall for 6 hours. At least the wall makes sense.

I had the RIGHT answer in my head, I even wrote it on paper, worked it out, and when I eventually tried to answer the question, the proper answer wasn't there. ?? I LITERALLY had to keep GUESSING the answer which resulted in me getting extremely frustrated/angry so which led to me closing the tab. Awful. I do NOT recommend using this.

Genuinely one of the worst things about the UK education system. Sparx Maths can turn maths homework into a stressful and time-consuming experience, with repetitive questions and far too much work to complete. Instead of helping students enjoy maths and understand what they are learning, it can make them feel anxious and overwhelmed. Students already have lessons and other homework to deal with, and Sparx can add unnecessary pressure to their evenings. I understand the importance of practising maths, but there must be better ways to do it. I genuinely hope schools reconsider how they use this system and listen to the students who have to deal with it every week.

the personalisation if you can call it that is rubbish like if u get 1 question right it thinks its too easy then gives you 50 impossible ones so you have to use ai which gives you even harder ones overall its rubbish and get rid of the 100% thing id rate 0 stars if I could
