Spark Maths is traumatic to my 12 year old son and this website just generally has terrible execution. Book work checks apply extra stress on my child and I have heard from other parents that their child takes 3 hours to do their homework because they struggle with multi-tasking. Having to write down the answers to the questions is completely unnecessary. Also, upon getting a question wrong 3 times, it changes. This just makes it take longer and in the end requires children to answer more questions than the amount presented to them. Finally, I don’t understand why it requires for to every question to be correct to have the homework marked as ‘complete’. If you are planning to set Spark Maths up for your school to provide math’s homework for your students then I highly and I mean highly recommend you do not under any circumstances. Not impressed.

This genuinely makes me want to kms. You have to answer every single question to complete the homework. It gets harder if you do get it right, which you have to. The bookwork checks are unnecessary and tedious. Terrible. Absolutely terrible.

As a student, I think that Sparx Maths is absolutely terrible, keeps giving me homework not related to my lessons and gives me the same questions over and over again. The website is annoyingly designed and is even described as "human torture" in the urban dictionary which i agree with to be fair. So, in the end I think that Sparx Maths should be abolished in ALL UK SCHOOLS.

Quite possibly the worst homework site ever made. It takes up to an hour to complete most times and is frustrating to no end. The video 'support' they give you almost never relate to the question you need help with and even if it does it's set in such a way to ensure it still doesn't actually tell you anything. The book-work checks are utterly pointless and are just there to waste more time as well. Other then that, it's just frustrating to try and do ANY homework or revision on it leading to crying, giving up or just defaulting to Google lens because there is no point in giving this site the time of day. They're set on exclusively pandering to teachers with 'no marking' and 'less time spent on grading' but all that means are students are just plain neglected without a second thought. May the stars and lords save you if your school adopts this site.
