Catastrophic on-line system
Extremely slow server especially when you try to log-in from a European city. Ridiculous, what does Marriott think the Center of the world is their HQ?

Booking on app is surprising easilyj to do by accident and was charged for a full nights stay, even after I canceled immediately. Customer refused refund.

Horrible customer service. Lots of lies and misinformation. They pass you around to different numbers and blame each other. Would not recommend at all.

Paid €420.35 for two nights (May 9-10). After checkout, two unexplained charges appeared on my card: €190 and €288.67. Contacted the hotel three times by email. They replied once, promising to reimburse for the night not used. **They did not.** No explanation for the additional charges. No follow-up. No resolution. If you stay here, expect to chase your own money long after checkout. Management does not honor their promises.

COMPLAINT #864784931/ #8657666597. BONVOY #049782923.RESERVATION #83646865 BACKGROUND: SKY ROCK SEDONA, IS A TRIBUTE PORTFOLIO HOTEL, IN SEDONA, AZ, USA. What is a TRIBUTE PORTFOLIO HOTEL: “We find hotels with striking design moments, bold use of color and noteworthy art installations. All meant to give you a hotel stay worth talking about. A handwritten note. A 24/7 pantry filled with local baked goods. We believe in the power of thoughtful details and those little moments that make a trip meaningful.” Of course, it’s all a lie. THEY ARE EVEN TOO EMBARRASSED TO USE THE MARRIOTT OR BONVOY NAME. ANYWHERE! In my experience, as a 30+ year Marriott customer, it in no way resembles a Marriott. PROBLEM/COMPLAINT: They took my 284,000 Bonvoy points in exchange for this supposedly Marriott property: SKY ROCK SEDONA. Instead, I received a clearly inferior property. Their strategy is deceptive; it’s fraudulent; it’s deceitful; It’s criminal! AND, IT’S ALL A LIE. THIS IS WHY THERE IS NO MARRIOTT OR BONVOY NAME ANYWHERE! The facility is actually a rundown MOTOR LODGE MOTEL (HOWARD JOHNSON?). 1. The front door is on the parking lot. 2. There are very few amenities (not even a microwave). 3. Everything is filthy and old. 4. They were actually going to charge us $39.00 per day to park there (after complaining, we got that waived). 5. Additionally, they charged $20.00 per day for something called a “Destination Fee”. This was nothing more than what we received as “Platinum Elite” members (upgrade; gift; etc.) Therefore, we were paying twice. See outline below. CONCLUSION: WE ARE DEMANDING A RETURN OF OUR 284,000 BONVOY POINTS.

Booked at Moxy Piccadilly London. Charged £342 for a room that didn’t exist — weeks of broken promises followed Booked over the phone and told I was getting a queen room. Arrived late at night to be told the room wasn’t available. Was put in a tiny, windowless, ladder-access bunk room — nothing like what I booked. The duty manager admitted the error, promised a refund and gave me a complimentary bottle of wine to apologise on the spot. What followed was worse than the stay itself. Weeks of stalling emails from Marriott Bonvoy’s Office of Consumer Affairs. A settlement offer made and never honoured. Deadlines ignored. Corporate platitudes in place of action. My Resolver case has now been fully escalated, a chargeback raised with my card provider, and I am contacting Marriott International’s executive team directly. Notably, the Marriott app lists this room with no mention of it being windowless. Draw your own conclusions. Avoid this hotel if you value getting what you pay for.

This year I stayed at Marriott hotels for a total of 53 nights. And I earned 48,324 pts. Not enough points to book a single night for free. Hotels.com gives a free night for every 10 nights. Huge disappointment.
