It was a mistake to join Marriott Bonvoy and I’m cancelling and never staying in another property of theirs $12 a day parking in a property out in the suburbs hidden in the “policy section”. When I call customer service I held for 49 minutes and the agent basically said it’s up to me to search through web sites to find out about hidden fees. What a predatory company!

The worst customer service I’ve ever…
The worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I’ve been trying for hours to talk to someone about a current reservation and it sticks you in a loop regardless of what number you call. I missed a flight and needed to change my reservation dates and I had to give up. Not a single human representative regardless of the options I select.

I am a titanium member after I was ambassador last year, guess how many times I got upgraded out of the required 100 nights and 75 night ?

it’s hopeless and genuinely bad , they took the Sheraton program down to the drain and appreciation for loyalty is much less than loyalty for tips

Stay away from the Sheraton Great Valley
As a Marriott Bonvoy member, I was extremely disappointed by our stay at the Sheraton Great Valley Hotel from July 10–12, 2026. I have come to expect a certain level of quality from Marriott properties, and unfortunately, this hotel fell far below those expectations.
I understand that the restaurant was closed for renovations. While that wasn't ideal, I recognize that renovations happen and was willing to overlook that inconvenience.
However, the biggest reason we booked this hotel was because it had an indoor pool. We were traveling with our 11-year-old twins, and when choosing hotels, a pool is one of our top priorities—especially during a weekend when temperatures were in the high 80s and they had games all day. Unfortunately, the pool was green and completely unswimmable for our entire stay. This was incredibly disappointing and unacceptable, particularly given the premium price we paid. Had we known the pool would be unusable, we would have booked another hotel.
To make matters worse, on Saturday evening my son went to take a shower, and the entire shower handle came off in his hand. Because he couldn't adjust the temperature, the hot water burned his arm. My husband had to use our room key like a tiny screwdriver just to reattach the handle so our son could finish showering safely. This was not only an inconvenience but also a serious safety concern.
Later, we called the front desk to request additional towels and were told there were no towels available. We were also informed that the front desk employee couldn't help because the hotel was short-staffed. Running out of clean towels at a hotel charging over $300 per night is simply unacceptable.
Overall, we paid a premium price for a stay that included:
An unusable, green pool.
A broken shower that posed a safety hazard.
No clean towels available due to staffing shortages.
A restaurant closed for renovations.
These are not the standards I expect from a Marriott property. I have always tried to stay within the Marriott family because of the consistency and quality I've experienced over the years, but this stay has me seriously reconsidering that loyalty.

WORST promotion campaign by MARRIOTT
WORST promotion campaign by MARRIOTT Bonvoy ever. They just released on 15 July 2026 a promotion double your nights.
Apparently this is not for everyone, my friend did receive it, but not me. I called them and all they can say that it is a TARGETED PROMOTION. but no one can say how and who is targeted. on a fb group "Marriott Bonvoy Elites Uncensored" you can see many comments, like this "I’m titanium and have nothing so far. My hubby is platinum and got the double night" I am Gold for life and did not get it, my friend is only Gold this year and she did get it. Many peoples are not getting this and no one at Marriott can or want to tell us why? Did I say anything wrong about AI? Is my computer does not like me? Normally, Business will reward their best clients, not create division and segregation between their valued customers, even in the same family?

I am a Marriott Vacation owner and…
I am a Marriott Vacation owner and currently have the Marriott Bonvoy Credit card.
I have 143,000 points to use. To put that in perspective, I have charged close to $143,000.00 over the years with my charge card.
I wanted to stay one night at the Fairfield Inn in Key West on a Thursday night This is a three-star hotel. One night is 165,000 points. Really?????????
At other Marriott locations, I have tried to use the points for a suite. Can't do it. I can only have a basic room. That's not Marriott; That's a Comfort Inn.
This card offers nothing. I would be better served to have a Capital One card.

No points applied at all + No support
I signed up to Marriot Bonvoy programme and then stayed at one place for a week under my email address and name. I booked through booking.com. They said it would be applied by emailing and I did. the week after i stayed at the first hotel i went about 30 meters and stayed at the Marriot in Louisville and I booked DIRECT this time. I stayed for 7 days. Yet no points on the account still and despite emailing and telling them when i stayed... still no points or status upgrades here.
What is the point? I can prove it all with emails, app screenshots etc etc. Maybe this works for some people but my stuff is simple on my only email i have since being 16 years old and i have a HUGE amount of resentment now for Marriott anything. Next time i am gonna save money and stay anywhere but. Not bad rooms but if i can't progress like you say people can then what the hell for?
Whenever points schemes come into the mix there is never just a human being to call who can sort things out then and there and done. It is always "You will hear back within 4 weeks about this". Serious? there is a system. there is points. there are notes and a CRM / database. There is a manager. If companies want repeat business, this one shows that they don't give a damn about it. Charge more than others, offer points schemes and then no honouring them. Thanks so much.
I hope the people who read this can hear my sarcasm in the thanks.
