It is rare, but every now & again, you purchase an item that lands so above expectations, you want to either tell the world or keep this delicious secret all to yourself. I own 2 Orlebar Brown swim shorts. They are the very best swim trunks, bar none, but prices have reached a level that I can no longer justify. Off I go to see if I can locate hedonic replacement. Web search, lo & behold, the handsome Classic trunks from Marine Layer w more than a passing resemblance to og OB trunks. Take a chance, worst case scenario, return to NYC retail location. Item arrives, so soft, so right in every way. So long OB, hello ML...now off to Croatia. Stay classy Marine Layer.

Quality product, quick and free shipping, long return window.

I have ordered white trousers and there was a glitch that after washing the waist rope fell off. Not sure if that was because of the washing machine or a defective item. But as soon as I told this to the Marine Layer, they issued me a full refund, which totally converted me from a slight frustration to becoming a true fan. That's a highly respectful policy, and I trust this is how Marine Layer gives a warranty and stamp for their quality. Others can only learn from such an example.

I visiting the Corte Madera store a few weeks ago and WOW! The store was beautiful and the staff was very friendly. I found several t-shirts and a few really soft sweatshirts to buy both me and my husband. I had a great experience and will definitely be shopping again soon. And the emails are great!

Clothing aside, Marine Layer has some of the best customer service in the game. Love this brand!
