I took a Manhattan Prep GMAT course in Winter 2017 and it was incredibly helpful. The instructor, Matt Brandon, was great at delivering the subject material and test strategies in simple, easy to understand ways. He was also great at keeping the class entertaining and fun when the material is anything but that. I took the GMAT for the first time last year and got a 660, which is a good score but short of my goal of 700. After having to put the test and B-school on hold for a year I got back into studying this summer and needed some help getting over the hump on SC. I purchased a private tutoring session with Gregg Lachow who not only helped me improve my verbal score, he gave me the excellent advice to schedule a 2nd test shortly after my original appointment. After that tutoring session I posted my two highest verbal scores ever and hit my target of 700.

I took the Executive Assessment Complete Course with instructor Elaine Loh at Manhattan Prep. Elaine taught the Manhattan Prep's course in a way that made the material easy to understand, and each class with her was almost fun. Elaine has the ability the break down complex concepts and explain them in a concise way to truly show what skills the EA is testing. The one-on-one sessions (that come included with the course) were incredibly helpful. I was able to score 10 points higher than what I was aiming for, for a total of a 160 on the EA. This would not have been possible without Elaine and the Manhattan Prep course (also made the course fee COMPLETELY worth it). I would HIGHLY recommend taking a class with Manhattan Prep, especially with Elaine, if you are serious about improving your Executive Assessment score

The live Manhattan Prep GMAT course was critical to my success and enabled me to ultimately score a 740. My instructor, Dhivya Arumugham was very well-prepared, articulate and knowledgeable. I would really recommend Dhivya as an instructor - she provides clear, concise explanations of problems, has a good sense of humor and brings a lot of energy to some mundane topics. The course is very structured and incorporates quant, verbal, and test taking strategy each week. The online learning portal makes it very easy to manage your assignments weekly, track progress, and flag areas of weakness to review. I took the exam for the first time only two days after the course ended (which is not recommended) and scored a 690. After another month of review using the official guide and other quant drills, I scored a 740. I am convinced that Manhattan prep was key to my success and the price was well worth it. They also provide additional resources including webinars about certain test areas, selecting the right schools for you, applications, and interviews. You have access to an individual review of a practice exam with an instructor to create a study plan. I also received a free half-hour session with an admissions consultant who helped tremendously and could answer questions about the specific schools to which I applied.

I took a GMAT prep class at Manhattan Prep with Laurel Hanson in late 2017, and highly recommend the course. Laurel is a fantastic teacher and makes what could be a very dry course fun. She's smart, patient, and has a ton of easy tricks that help not only with learning the material (which most students haven't encountered since high school), but also with timing (which, for a lot of people, is the hardest part of the GMAT). The books you receive when you sign up for the course are extremely helpful as well, and make high-quality studying after the course has finished entirely doable.

I took the Manhattan Prep Live Online Course because I had read great reviews of the company and also saw that they offered a 25% student discount (I am currently a college student, so this was very appealing to me). Manhattan Prep doesn't hold any in-person classes near me, so I had to take the online course. I was a little nervous about it at first because I thought I would get distracted if I wasn't in a classroom. However, I think the online course was a great decision for me. The Manhattan Prep instructors are extremely helpful and make time during class to give you one-on-one attention. There were ~10 people in my class and 2 instructors. The class met for 3 hours every week. The instructors engaged everyone in the classroom by calling on students and making an effort to understand everyone's thought process. The instructors solved practice problems with us, thoroughly explained common mistakes or misunderstandings, and walked through ways to approach problems that I found extremely useful on the test. I felt comfortable asking questions in class and reaching out to the instructors outside of class as well. Manhattan Prep also offers several practice exams with full, worked-out solutions and performance analytics capabilities. In addition to the 9-week online class, the plethora of resources available to me during through Manhattan Prep (GMAT Official Guide, Manhattan Prep books, practice exams, etc.) were invaluable to my success on the exam! I highly recommend this course to anyone looking to maximize their score on the GMAT!

Manhattan Prep is an amazing prep course for the GRE. I took an in person class with John Cho and have nothing but positive things to say about him and the course overall. John was extremely knowledgeable about the test, content, study strategies, tips/tricks etc. He was able to tailor the class to suit the needs of different students, and was always available for after class questions. In my first practice test I got a 161V and 156Q, so was fairly nervous about boosting my quant score to my target of 165. John not only helped me on my quant weak spots, but also was a positive voice throughout my studies and kept me optimistic. Studying for a big test can be pretty isolating - especially if you have no friends studying for something at the same time (..i.e. this was my experience) so it was incredibly helpful to have a class & instructor that kept me mentally motivated. The Manhattan materials (books, practice tests, online resources, 5lb book (!)) are also top notch and better than those I’ve seen from other prep courses. I ended up getting a 164V/166Q/5.5 & I'm not convinced I could have done it without this class. I maybe could have eventually, but you don't want to spend forever studying for a test when you (presumably) have apps to focus on. Take Manhattan with John! It's 110% worth it - will make your studying smarter, faster, and less stressful.
