We have flights booked from Sydney to Thailand in September and the flights keep getting rescheduled and will not leave the ground due to Government restrictions yet MA are saying we can have credit that needs to be booked by 31st Dec 2020 and taken by 30 June 2021. Insane. I have been trying to deal with them and the booking agent and keep getting told they will not refund even though they are not able to provide he service i have paid for in good faith.

So, we have been stuck for 4 months in Cambodia. Been trying to go home for the past month. The 27th of July we bought a ticket from Phnom Penh to Oslo via Kuala Lumpur. The next day Malaysia Airlines sends an email and tells us the flight is cancelled. And there's no more flights for a month. Ah great, stuck here another month because now we can't cancel our ticket from Kuala Lumpur to Oslo. So not only are we stuck in Cambodia now we also need to get to KUL. The same day we issued a refund for the ticket. Fine. August 1st I called Malaysia Airlines again to rebook my original purchase, which was cancelled by their part, to the first available flight. They tell me I can't rebook because the refund is already in process. I MEAN WHAT? So you're telling me, not only did you cancel the flight, making us stuck here another month AND making us have to go to Kuala Lumpur. But you can't use my purchase to buy another ticket because the "refund is already in process"? For me this utterly, utterly absurd. Now I need to buy another ticket. And when that? Another cancellation from their part maybe? Feel so frustrated and I would NEVER, EVER advise someone to use Malaysia Airlines.

Unable to get money back after they cancelled our flight due to Covid. Been fighting for 5 months now to get it back.They simply do not care. Treated the customers with contempt and repeatedly lied to me.

Have waited four months now for a refund on two cancelled flights. They won't even reply to my requests for information. When all this is over, people will remember how they were treated and the long term prospects for companies like this must surely be poor.

I had flights that were affected by Covid. But MAS changed them, not me. They moved my 1st flight (to KUL) to after my 2nd flight (from KUL). Now it doesn't take a genius to realise that isn't going to work. So i phoned up and complained, and they said i could re-book. That didnt work so i asked for money back. They said they would have to charge an admin fee! They changed my flight and charged me USD 80 per ticket! family of 4, USD 320 for their actions. You could NOT make it up. And when speaking to them, the staff are so poorly trained it is frustrating. NEVER use this airline, as they will use any opportunity to make money out of you, and not provide ANY service. Shocking airline. Shocking customer service Shocking systems and contact means AVOID

I purchased two return tickets Melbourne to London, after purchasing the tickets Malaysia Airlines (MAS) changed the flight schedule resulting in 17.5 hrs at KL airport and 1 day delay arriving in London. MAS did not offer any alternative or accomodation during the delay. Initially MAS said I was not entitled to a refund, my travel agent then advised on 31/03/20 that MAS had agreed to provide a full refund which could take up to 12 weeks. I am still waiting and now MAS refuse to give any Indication when they will process the refund except to say "there are substantial delays because of this extraordinary circumstance". If MAS means COVID-19 my refund was due because of a flight reschedule before flights were cancelled due to COVID-19. I think it is totally unacceptable for MAS to use COVID-19 as an excuse for indefinitely delaying refunds. MAS have also implied as a customer I am unreasonable by saying that 'I wish to have my refund processed right away". This is an unfair, unreasonable and unconscionable way to treat a customer as I waited patiently for 12 weeks prior to contacting the travel agent or the airline and then requested MAS to give me or my travel agent a time frame for processing my refund, MAS refuse to do this. I have submitted a complaint to MAS and had no response. I have been waiting nearly four months and still nothing. Read all the comments on Malaysia Airline Facebook webpage before you book a ticket with this airline. They seem to be experts at loosing customers, difficult to find any positive comments.

I’ve recently had two flights cancelled with Malaysian Airlines with no prospect of another flight anytime soon. On top of this I was lied to about the insurance I purchased from Malaysian Airlines. I was advised my insurance would cover me for any cancellation and I would be reimbursed after a short waiting period. In reality my flight got cancelled by Malaysian airlines and I was only offered a credit for my lost flight. I was told I would be reimbursed only if the pilots had gone on strike. This flight cost 2000 dollars one way. I feel so utterly disgusted and cheated. It’s my second bad experience with this airline and I would never recommend it to absolutely anybody. These people are quite willing to exploit people’s trust. Don’t trust them at all. Disgraceful.

Malaysian airlines after multiple changes has finally cancelled the flights & I am refused a cash refund. All that is being offered is a evoucher which is not good enough. No one know when the travel restrictions are going to be lifted. Clearly when there is no service provided, the money should be refunded. Specially here where the airline has cancelled the flights, I am demanding my money be refunded. They have no business ethics and are simply making money in this pandemic by not providing service and yet retaining the money. I have contacted them on Facebook & all I get is their standard robotic responses which are just an act of copy paste. Here is an airline which does not care for its customers, their planes go missing & they DON'T CARE! Other airlines like Singapore are offering their clients a full refund & being supportive at current times. It must be avoided at all costs!
