Very very poor service. They randomly cancelled ticket without telling me, giving me a replacement flight making me STRANDED for 3 days, arriving days after I was supposed to get back. Then getting ahold of them was a nightmare. Then they only had very poor flight selection which made me have to cut my time with my family short. All with no voucher. Avoid at all costs. Additionally, they canceled my sister-in-law's ticket home (not flight, just the ticket!) without telling her, making her return flight a nightmare, while simultaneously losing her bags. Like, they check the box of everything a crappy airlines can be.

ABSOLUTE JOKE OF A COMPANY. We booked a flexible return flight paying more as we may need to change the date, this allowed for free cancellation. When we cancelled the flight they said they would issues refund. 1 month goes by and we call customer service asking where it is. They said it has been issued and will be in bank in 2 weeks. 4 months later and we still do not have our money back!! I have called the useless customer service at least 40 times and get hung up on for no reason after being placed on hold, or the same answer “we will check with relevant department” and only twice have I ever got a follow up reply saying “refund has been issued”. Escalated with bank and they have nothing, Malaysia won’t provide the ARN code so had to raise a case with the fraud department. I wish I had read the reviews on Malaysia air before booking as you can clearly see they don’t know how to operate a business and I have no idea how they are still going. If I could give 0 stars I really would this company doesn’t even deserve 1.

They lost my baggage for 3 days, and wouldn't tell me where it had went. I was the other side of the world without any clothes to wear and no compensation offered. Flight was delayed both going and returning. After being delayed for 2 hours (on a night flight - at approx 12.30AM) I expected a meal on the plane (I was STARVING because the airport food places were closed), however I was only given a croissant and a muffin on the plane until breakfast. Will NEVER fly with them again.

Tried to check in online for return flight from PEN to LHR via KUL but was told to check in at the counter. At the counter told that someone had tried to modify my booking so MHR cancelled my ticket and denied me boarding. Was told only option was to buy a new ticket. This cost around 1100 GBP one way plus a hotel room in KLIA to make connection the following morning. My complaints have mostly been ignored besides an email two weeks ago saying the matter had been "escalated".

SCAM at best...WARNING DO NOT BOOK WITH MALAYSIA AIRLINES... you will be fleeced a small fortune to take a checked in bag. Booked flight to Bali, no option to add bags at time of purchasing flight. After purchasing flights, went online to Manage My Booking still no option to add checked bag. Rang customer service, to be told one 20kg checked bag would cost £342 each way.... Shocked, horrified, disgraced, I could go on, but it was clear the agent was reading from the script. No alternative options. You either pay a small fortune to take a checked bag or you don't take one. In all my years of travel, it is standard airline practice to allow one checked bag at a reasonable cost of no more than £75/bag.. what do Malaysia Airlines think they're playing at. £342 for one 20kg bag each way.... I'd go as far as to say it's an actual SCAM.. how is that even legal.

Booked via sky scanner directed to Malaysia Airlines booked flex for Kl & Basic return, included assist and paid for 1 seat and charged for another seat also. .total paid around £1770... informed no baggage. After nearly a month of trying to contact MA & Skyscanner. I was charged £ 398.. for my 15 kg baggage .treated as extra baggage.perhaps they had included me in it? No booking breakdown received from either party, only repeated misleading basic confirmation info about the flight.. when I enquired. The website was not accessible & sky scanner repeatedly asked me to contact MA. Raised complaint with MA & Skyscanner. Both a waste of time Was someone using the extra seat, and I was charged . This was targeted ..at the vulnerable? Never book with either of these again.i subsequently incurred more costs & returned home early on Emirates, after a ruined holiday family reunion.

Delayed 12 hours on a 17 hour trip. The website is full of errors meaning although you have a flexible fare you can't rebook a better flight. Spent an hour with customer service to have them randomly disconnect. The pilot on the last leg described having to lower the landing gear again after take-off to COOL the brakes. The whole experience was very 3rd rate airline going broke. Given the flights where expensive will avoid in future.

Hey! I'm an old man blind and no hearing. I booked a flight with Malaysia Airlines. I have upgraded but I couldn't book a seat I make a visit to the office in Thailand and ask for help to book a seat and I told employees that I have vision problems and no hearing. They gave me a phone number and I told them I can't call because of my problems. She writes down a email address with small letters I couldn't see.. I asked for help in my Hotel. I sent emails to the company and asked for help to book a seat and rebook. I got no help they it is under investigation I only need help to book a seating. I must look for another Airline because I can't trust that one. I will lose a lot of money but I only asked for help and they ignored me totally.
