The Magic Jack App fills a gap in the market. One can use their phone service to make international calls and, sometimes, to receive texts. It's a VOIP system and so the texting can't always be used for OTP verifications. The phone connection can be good if the internet is stable and the app is working correctly. So it's useful for that reason. But at other times, the app is unreliable, and connections drop easily. Customer service can be good occasionally but you may need to wait for a reply when inquiring via email.

I called and like always there is a wait, had to go through 2 ladies and did not get my problem resolved, so I waited and called back the next day, got a young lady named Maria and she was terrific, explained everything to me, quickly, followed her advice and got everything resolved in a matter of minutes, wish I had Maria working for me. She should be the one training all Magic Jack customer service people. Delightful

i have not had a big problem with this magic jack in use but the customer service is terrible not the fault of employees who get the complains but the CEO who is so busy counting his money he can't be bothered with running the business. It always stinks when you are transferred at best to a operator in the Philippines to deliver the bad news i cannot help you . In my case i started with a issue about the timestamp which registers a New York time i live in California that is off then my caller id never shows the name of the caller only the phone number then i renewed the membership 39.00 advertised then they add a administration fee another 3.51 additional no mention of this fee in adds or anywhere and no explanation of what it is for and everyone has to pay it. The law should require all companies to post any added fees on all advertising explaining what it is for of course this raises the actual cost to 42.51 not 39.00 they advertise bait and switch a felony. Now they have a arbitration which their agreement mentions you give up your right to sue for anything which in truth should be illegal in any court this is forced under duress on all customers who need a cheap phone service . This equals give me that money screw you. It is a shame because they have a service that could make money without screwing people yet this is what they are doing. Very sad! I noticed another customer complained so they commented by doing a promo and ignoring what he was complaining about that tells you too.
