MagicJackReviews of magicjack.com

Impossible to talk to a human being. No help. The system tells me my phone number (which I have been using for over 10 years) does not exist. No support. I give up on it. Thank God for cell phones which make the Magic Jack no longer as necessary; but it used to be a nice option.

This is a residential service. After many configurations tries,(re-boot of modem, re-boot of PC, unplugging and plugging of the MagicJack device in multiple places) the system never worked. I had dial tone but could not make any outgoing calls. My phone never rang but I did get emails. I had to pay to return the faulty equipment. Ouch! Only contact was with emails, days in waiting and not addressing what I wrote in my original email. So canned technical support responses that can be found on the website and no use to me.

They took my money but put the wrong name on the account. They had my correct name in order to charge my bank account but insisted I logged in under the other name. I paid for the service but don't have the phone number and can't use the device, which I won't get anyway because it has the wrong name on it and won't be delivered!! So I paid for nothing.

They are cheap; I'll say. You get what you pay for as they say. I have had this for a number of years now. I think they sold my number. When I asked about it, I was told I could add the number to the Do-Not-Call list; scammers don't care about that list. I get so many calls; the number is useless to me. (I seem to get fewer now since I don't answer.) I don't answer this line anymore. I keep it as backup. I'm due for renewal is 6 months or so. Without my permission and without being on auto renew, they have contacted my credit card company and now have the new expiration date. I also never authorized them to keep my credit card info on file. Absolutely, terrible business practices.

My magicjack app is giving me a 100 Error, I use the App to talk to my friends and family because it´s reallY cheap and good service in calls, my aunt is really sick and need to contact her frecuently. My suscription payment is on August 12th I still want to keep my subscription. They disconnected my phone number without notice and I have 24 hours trying to solve the situation without a solution.

Too hard to install in 2026 no real person will talk to you. You will loose your money and never get it back. Magic jack is now an internet scam. Don't buy it.

We renewed our 36 month subscription and the company double charged us and lied to our credit card company and said we purchased two subscriptions and then lied again and said we purchased a 72 month subscription even though they emailed us thanking us for our 36 month subscription. They refused to refund the second charge for the same amount on the same day. Totally dishonest company and even threatened to charge us a 25 dollar restriction charge for filing a dispute. Buyer Beware of magic Jack

MagicJack has no technical support! Customer Service reps will tell you to send an email to support.magicjack.com. Emails from support will arrive at 2 AM and tell you to go to their online FAQs. Requests to talk or live chat with Technical Support will go unanswered. Stay away from this lousy phone service. It works good until it stops working.
