I should have looked at the reviews before ordering from Madam Sew. I ordered on July 9 and received information stating they would let me know when my item shipped. It's July 26 and no email. I emailed them on the 17th and received a reply stating that one of the items in my order was out of stock. They said they would refund that portion of my order and ship the rest. When I replied, asking when I could expect the rest to ship, I never heard back from them.
Response from Madam SewSep 22, 2026
Hi, we are sorry for the late reply here, and sorry that your original question never got an answer. Telling you an item was out of stock and then going quiet when you asked about the rest of your order is not acceptable, and that one is on us.
We have since changed how we handle orders with an out-of-stock item, so the shipping date for the remaining items is confirmed to you up front instead of leaving you to chase us.
If anything on that order is still unresolved, email [email protected] with "Trustpilot - July order" and your order number and we will close it out.

Great products, hyperactive marketing
The array of products are great, and the build quality of most are pretty good. I recently restocked my sewing studio through several Madame Sew sales seen online on Instagram, probably about $300 worth of product.
I had to unsubscribe from their emails and block them because of their relentless email marketing.
Response from Madam SewSep 22, 2026
Hi, thank you for the kind words on the products, and for the honest part too. Hearing that our email frequency pushed you to block us is useful, and fair.
Glad the studio restock went well.

Order Incomplete
I have ordered many items and been very satisfied. This time however, I ordered from a page that showed a bundle of 3 large quilt storage bags for $42.99.
I received 1 bag for that price. 1 bag does not charge that much.
I called spoke to Tessa, explained the issue. She insists I ordered 1 bag for that excessive price. I asked for return information, which she sent. The return cost $9.80, we will see if they refund my money.
I wish they would have agreed to send me the other 3 bags.
I AM GOING TO BLOCK THEM AND I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN. I AM INFORMING MY QUILT SEWING GROUP, MY GUILD, ETC.
I am very disappointed.
Response from Madam SewSep 22, 2026
Roughly six months old, and the costliest of the batch: a repeat customer who left, plus she paid $9.80 to return something she believes was mis-listed. The damage isn't the bag, it's being told she was wrong.
Reply to copy-paste:
Hi, we are sorry for the late reply, and sorrier about how this was handled.
You had ordered from us many times before this. When a long-standing customer tells us a page showed three bags, the right response is to look at that page carefully, not to insist the order was correct. And you should not have paid to return an item you only received because of confusion on our side.
If your refund did not come through, or the 9.80 return cost was not reimbursed, email [email protected] with "Trustpilot - quilt storage bags" and your order number. We will refund both.
We would rather earn you back than win the argument.

the carry all sewing organizer…
I bought the carry all sewing organizer bag and it is nothing more than a notebook. The inside zippered pockets are so tight to put anything in and out. The whole organizer feels so flimsy and cheap but yet it was very expensive in price. Would not advise to purchase this item.
Response from Madam SewSep 22, 2026
Hi, thank you for the honest feedback, and sorry for the slow reply.
A bag that feels flimsy and has pockets you cannot actually use is not what we want to be selling, especially at that price. We have passed your comments on the zippered pockets and the overall build to the product team, since that is the kind of detail we can only get from people who have used the item.
If you still have it and want to return it, email [email protected] with "Trustpilot - carry all organizer" and we will look at it for you even though it is outside the normal return window.

The worst customer service ever
The worst customer service ever! Supposedly my order was delivered however I cannot find it - I've checked my mailbox, my apartment complex office and neighbors - the package was not delivered to me and Tessa won't do a darn thing about it. They just keep telling me to check places the mailperson may have left it. This is absolutely unacceptable and I will NEVER purchase anything from this company again. I will shout it from the rooftops at every quilting class I am in to let other sewists know that this is not a good company to purchase from.
Response from Madam SewSep 22, 2026
Hi, we are sorry for the late reply, and sorry this was ever handled that way.
When a parcel is marked delivered but the customer does not have it, asking them to keep looking is not a resolution. Our policy is to reship or refund once a customer confirms they have checked the usual places, which you clearly did. That should have happened on your first message.
If you were never refunded or resent your order, email [email protected] with "Trustpilot - missing delivery" and your order number. We will refund it, no further questions.
That was a bad experience and we do not defend it.

I ordered the red sew organizer with…
I ordered the red sew organizer with the matching red inserts. And I ordered the 12 pack plastic insert to put into s seperate binder.
I did not get the matching red inserts.
I have told them to send the matching red inserts or give me a refund.
I got neither.
Don't buy from this place.
Go to temu, Ali, or amazon.
I went to temu and got a purple set with the matching inserts that mademn sew said did not exist.
Response from Madam SewSep 22, 2026
Hi, we are sorry for the late reply.
You asked for either the missing red inserts or a refund, and getting neither is not acceptable. If an item is unavailable we should say so and refund you the same day, not leave the order open.
If that refund never came through, email [email protected] with "Trustpilot - red organizer inserts" and your order number and we will process it straight away.
We are sorry we lost you over something this easy to fix.

Madam Sew Bad Customer Service
The company Madam Sew is by far the worst company I have ever seen, there is no customer service. Real people do not respond back to emails as all there emails back are AI generated and you do not know it is a AI generated at all. I will never buy again from this place as it was a waste of time and money
Response from Madam SewSep 22, 2026
Hi, we are sorry for the late reply.
We do use automation to answer common questions quickly, and you are right that it should be obvious when you are talking to a system rather than a person. If that was not clear, that is a fair criticism and we have taken it.
Anyone who wants a human can have one. Reply to any of our emails asking to speak to a person, or write to [email protected] with "human please" in the subject, and a member of the team takes it over.
Sorry we did not give you that on the first try.

Overall decent items, but LOUSY customer service if you have a problem.
Overall, the items I received were of decent quality. However 2 of the items I ordered were defective. In one, there was corrosion on the magnetic seam guide, in the other, the seam guide for the walking foot would not stay in place. When I contacted the company first by email, I have received nothing but stalling tactics in response. I included descriptions, a photo and a short video, yet keep getting responses like "Please tell us what make and model your sewing machine is" (which is not at all relevant) or, after 3 previous emails describing the problem "May I know further information about the damaged item, please?" More than the descriptions, photo and video??
I tried the live chat on the website. They were responsive, explaining that they do not do exchanges. When I copied and pasted the exact info from their website stating that they DO do exchanges for defective products, the live chat agent ceased responding to me.
If you review their return policies carefully, you will see that if you did try to return something, it is entirely possible that you would pay to ship it back, and that they can then refuse to process a refund (according to their policies) at which point you are out both the item you bought (because now they have it) AND the shipping you just paid.
So the items are decent, but don't expect them to replace anything defective nor necessary allow a return. Some of the worst return policies I've seen (I'd rather a place just say they won't accept returns.)
Response from Madam SewSep 22, 2026
Hi, we are sorry for the late reply, and this review deserves a straight answer.
You sent a description, a photo and a video of two defective items. At that point there was nothing left to ask. Being asked for your machine make and model, then asked again for information you had already sent three times, is exactly the stalling you describe, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.
On the substance: a defective item is replaced at our cost. You should never pay return shipping for something that arrived corroded or broken, and our chat agent should never have told you we do not exchange defective products when our own policy says we do.
If you still have the seam guide and the walking foot guide, email [email protected] with "Trustpilot - defective items" and your order number, and we will send replacements, no return needed.
You also raised a fair point about the return policy wording. We have looked at it again since.
