bad program hangs up wont load pages right. have to shut down and reload. I was clicking on a page trying to get it to do something and it was increasing my bid in background. Told macbid about problem and they said once you bid its yours. they you have to pay for item. I refused to pay for an item i did not want and did not knowingly bid on. They suspended me. My wife opened an account with macbid and they let her buy, took money and then canceled account and said they would refund money in a couple of weeks. She cant buy because i was suspended.Tried to call to clear up no results.

Carts are scarce, warehouses are stripped and dimly lit with ridiculously inconvenient hours and distant unless you happen to live near one were your item is located, otherwise expect a substantial "Tran$$$fer Fee". There is no Actual distinction to between their Condition Codes labeled "Like New", "Open Box" and "Damaged". Almost everything I have purchased was damaged to some extent and often complete trash with no recourse or return. By the time they finish with a universal $3 fee, tacking on an another 15% fee (?), a $7 and up-up-up buyer protection fee and a $5 and up-up-up transfer fee it becomes completely ridiculous to take the substantial risk on most items. Pray your not used to Nordstrom's, because on top of the ridiculous cost escalations, travel and risk, the warehouse conditions are apocalyptic. Finding your item(s) and uncovering them from the mountain of debris is also an unpleasant adventure. Expect long arrival and parting lines. In the end I am happy to pay for convenience, zero risk, a predictable fair deal with easy returns, no travel-delivered to my door and no lugging filthy boxes. Overall I rate my experience as poor and expensive.

I recently worked for the Gastonia mac bid. And I liked my job but management's is very bad no structure , they don't values good workers. I got let go for stepping up to help my supervisor from getting ran up on by a man that was yelling and being very aggressive towards her I thought he was gonna hit her so did the other customers the way he ran up on in her face while she was sitting down trying to help him.. let me remind you I was helping a customer at the time. When I saw what was going on I didn't think or nothing i just ran in between them to stop him from hitting her or getting in her face. And he started cussing me out and I had to let him know your not man being in her face or acting like your going hit a woman it was bad so he called he cooperate saying he was going to sue and etc. after the weekend that monday they let me go cause the owners didn't won't to deal wit that man but Im being told I did the right thing and therre so glad I stepped up but I was being let go didn't make sense to me. What if I didn't step and she got hurt then it wouldn't been bigger problems on there hands.. but it's Okay God works wonders ! If you are wanting to work there I recommend you don't they done value you in no way Worst ppl ever to work for. And I wouldn't shop there also. Hope they lose everything. There not good ppl .. Hope it all comes to the light cause this ain't nun compared to what goes on there !!!!!!

It is all trash. "Open Box" "Like New" doesn't matter. Open box i get it if someone orders an item, decides to send it back, goes to auction. But a product that has been used to who knows what end. Is damaged to the point of exposed wires or missing parts. Is NOT open item (compared to say Ebay) Open items are essentially new without packaging. Of course MAC has their disclaimer saying item could be anything. So why not add a category "USED" ? 57 items purchased. 32 "like new" 29 of those returned on the spot. Other 20 "open box" were missing so many parts and were so tore up were mostly usable only for parts. 4 partially good items i could actually use. A set of shelves, a set of plastic part bins, a weighted blanket, and a flashlight. 1 item that was actually good, a knife. Just a straight blade knife, how could that be bad as marked "like new" oh yeah it was missing it's sheath. Mac is garbage 99% of the time i have found in the past year since trying them out. I won't spend more than $2.99 on the last minute deals.

Purchased 3 items as open box , 2 were broken missing parts, other was a mini hot water tank open box was actually a used broken tank , they did me a refund but these are suppose to be inspected items ,other items I had to toss in the trash out about $30.00 not a deal . Don't want to spend $7.00 for insurance + $3.50 lot fee + service charges .STAY AWAY !!

Buyer beware as your credit card data is not secure in their site. They have no assistance to help you and try to answer fraud inquiries with a bot. We had good experiences with MAC. BID and had made dozens of purchases until we had two charges show up that we did not recognize. They also didn’t show in our bid history. We tried to reach out to MAC.BID immediately. We tried to call and had to leave a message. We also emailed and got a canned bogus response from Madison their BOT. We called the next day and got a real person. We spoke to Kris. She said our items were last chance items and that she could see we had never bid on the items. It was also paid through a 2 click procedure and did not go through the normal invoice process. So in short, MAC BID can see and confirmed there is suspicious activity within their site. Yet they only offered to close our account, offered no investigation into the fraudulent activity, and no refund for the fraudulent charges. MACBID requires a payment on file to participate but clearly, they do not have security measures to protect your personal financial information and have inadequate customer service resources to address such concerns. Use at your own risk

This was the first time using this process. My wife bid on a high end set of dinnerware for four. We went to pick it up in Gastonia and the place was a mad house. Boxes just piled three feet high on other items. We finally found our box and checked out. When we got home, we found the box only had three plates. I guess if you want to play this game and get the grab bag experience of not knowing what you will get that's fine with me, but I prefer getting what I pay for even if it costs a bit more.

I have had several bad experiences with MacBid. They have knowingly sold me half of a bunkbed and refused to do anything about it. Costumer service was not helpful at all. Multiple times I have bought things that were not even close to the description given. Most recently they had sold me a broken faucet that someone had just thrown in a different box. Whoever is inspecting these products is not putting any effort in to ensure the correct description. I could understand a few missing screws but this goes way beyond that.
