I am sorry you are not happy with the Comforter’s color. And I'm even more sorry to hear you felt I was being rude on the phone. That was certainly never my intention. The comforter set you ordered is advertised on our website as a textured solid design, and it is one single color: Neutral (wheat/taupe shade). I tried my best to explain that because the ruffles are a raised 3-D pattern, it casts a shadow on the Comforter which is what I believe you are seeing as the darker color on your screen. Our return policy does not allow us to authorize returns for final sale items, and the comforter set you ordered is advertised as a final sale item on our website. However, I still do want to be as helpful as possible, so I'd still like for you to send us photos that I requested while speaking to you so that I can make sure you received the correct item that you ordered and verify the color is correct. If you haven't already returned the second set to Overstock please email us photos at [email protected] so that we can forward them to our quality control team. If you re-order directly through our website, we can offer you a discount code and inspect the item before shipping so that you will be sure to get the correct size.

Hello. We can see you are clearly frustrated but we want you to understand we're not making excuses for the item you received. We have not gotten it back yet to see it in person and have our design team review the color. When it arrives, they will make the determination of whether the color is defective, and if so, the refund will be made in the full amount without deduction for return shipping.

Hello, April. I am sorry you had a bad experience with our brand, but this is really an unfair assessment of our service to you. During our conversation you had mentioned that you had gotten the curtains from Kohls.com. Because the purchase was made at Kohls, the return has to be made through them. We cannot process a refund on an order placed somewhere else. I tried to be as helpful as possible by providing you with the direct customer service phone number for Kohls.com, as well as suggesting other curtains you might want to look at instead to match your comforter (since the inventory was not good on the ones you have now). You are only stuck with the curtains you have now if you choose to be, because Kohls has a hassle-free return policy and I have given you the information you need to move forward with returning for refund or making an exchange with them.

Hello. I am sorry to hear you had a poor experience and received defective curtains. We cannot refund customers who order from other websites because we never collected your money or any of your information. The very most personal information we will have is your shipping address, and that is only if we drop ship for the store where you made the purchase. That is why we require customers to seek refunds from the stores where the made the original purchase. We are not trying to be difficult, and I hope you understand that if you ordered directly from us, we would refund without requiring return in the case of a defective item like you received. As far as the quality control, we are a mass producer and sometimes defective items will slip through. We do have checks in place at the factory level, then again when they arrive to our warehouse, but we couldn't possibly inspect every single item. We pull random samples from the lot and perform checks. So when we hear from customers like you who receive something defective, we ask for photos to share with our quality control team who then follows up with the factory and makes sure we don't have any future similar issues.

We are sorry that you are unhappy with your return being refused, but the expectations of clean panels with all product packaging was made clear when we sent the return label to you. The email with return instructions included this content: "As long as the panels are still in new/unused condition, with original product packaging (the printed product insert, hanger, etc. -- not the shipping box), then we can accept your return back.... But if you threw away the product packaging, or if you had the curtains hanging for a full weekend, for example, then they would be considered used and ineligible for return. Once the package arrives, we will inspect the items. During our inspection we will be looking for signs of use such as missing product packaging, human or pet hair, water marks, tears, strong odor such as cigarette smoke or perfume, etc." When we opened the return, we found four panels each with hair all over the front and back of the panels. Not just a little bit of hair, but a lot of hair, and we took photos to show you that. We also found only one set came back with product packaging, when we need all product pacakging. These panels did not come back in mint condition, and since they were not in condition fit for return we sent them back to you at our own cost, per our return policy.
