I ordered an item listed as in-stock 2 weeks ago. I’ve heard nothing since (except about 20 marketing emails) and they’ve not responded to any of my emails. When I called for help, they said they’d find out the status and email me back. They have failed to do so. What a complete waste of time and money. All I can do now is request a refund and hope they handle that with more competence.

On Aug 5 2024 I ordered 2 wall sconces from Lumens: manufactured by Mitzi, distributed by Hudson Valley Lighting. Every month including now in December (checking in with them today Dec 23rd, I have been bumped to the following month. On multiple occasions I was told that we would definitely be next and that the order would ship in appx 1week. The latest whopper of a lie was our replacement would ship out Dec 15th to replace a returned unit they shipped us that was scratched, missing a screw, and the box was entirely mangled inside. We sent pictures etc. You are getting the picture by now of the nightmare this experience has been. Lumens blames their vendor Hudson Valley primarily, along with the usual suspects of handling error, computer glitches, website issues, etc. LUMENS customer service is entirely worthless. They take zero ownership of problems. I finally ordered them from another vendor who had them in stock.

Avoid ordering from this company. There are plenty of reputable lighting suppliers out there, but this is not one of them. They engage in deceptive bait-and-switch tactics, advertising discounts of up to 60% off open box items, only to cancel orders with misleading claims—either stating that you, the customer, requested the cancellation, there are "inventory issues", or sending incorrect products altogether. I should have learned my lesson after three out of four orders went wrong, but this is the last time I’ll make that mistake. Editing my review based on Lumens.com reply. It's almost 2025. There isn't an excuse for a large e-commerce company not to be able to manage inventory appropriately. Furthermore, you state that orders are fulfilled in the order in which they are received. I, however, have chat history where your own representatives stated when asked, that sometimes orders are unfortunately fulfilled out of order. For my last order that was incorrect vs website description on your site, I was promised a return label in 2-3 days - over 10 days later, I have yet to receive. It's a poor customer service experience all the way around and each interaction requires multiple followups.

Lumens advertises current products and ships old products. I received two recently: Order #L2701832 - December 1, 2024 Koncept Z-Bar Mini LED Desk Lamp Gen 4 Shipped on December 12, 2024 Remote Transformer-300W Mag 12v out, 277v in Shipped on December 2, 2024 1. The Koncept Z-Bar was Gen 3. At least one other customer noted the same in a Lumens review. Gen4 comes with significant improvements. See the Koncept Web site. 2. The Remote Transformer-300W was manufactured in 2012. The advertised manufacturer is Visual Comfort. I called Visual Comfort support when I encountered installation problems. They said that I had a very old version of the product which they updated more than once since 2012. The item they are now shipping me was updated around 2020. Neither item works. After a few days, the lamp stopped working and Lumens refused my return because I no longer have the original packaging. Lumens refused my return on the transformer because I attempted to install it, even though I was foolish enough to buy extended protection.

On September 22, 2024, I ordered 3 Sky Solo mini pendants, totaling $1,034. After taking measurements, I realized the pendants would be too small for over my kitchen island, so I called Lumens to cancel my order on September 24th (verified by email that the order was cancelled). The order did not ship and was told the charges on my card would be reversed. Here we are 3 months later, and my card was not credited back until December 16th. Getting ahold of anyone in Lumens is about impossible and their customer service falls below that of other retailers. There was no reason to hold my charge for 3 months without delivering a product. I will never use Lumens.com again - there are too many other options.

After purchasing thousands of dollars of furniture and lighting with them (since 2019) I can say they have really hit bottom. We purchased a set of 6 Herman Miller Eames dining chairs. One recently broke due to a flaw. We reached out to their customer service which in the past has been 5 Stars and spoke with Hannah Kozal regarding the issue. First, she insisted we were not entitled to any replacement. We explained the warranty indicated we were still under through January 2025. Hannah said she'd need a few days to research it. Since I had a copy of the warranty from Herman Miller I shared it with her. "Okay," she admitted. "Email us pictures of the issue and we'll send out a replacement." We did just that, and Lumens confirmed that the "replacement" was authorized with a shipping date of 11/27. I reached out on 11/29 to find out the status and was told it was coming. No date. I reached out again today, 12/3 and was told I was not getting a replacement but replacement parts and "sorry we forgot to tell you they're arriving on 12/19." PARTS? it's supposed to be a REPLACMENT chair. After going back and forth with Hannah Kozal for nearly 40 minutes sharing my communications she said I'll send you the "ORIGINAL" email sent to you about the parts. I opened up the email she just forwarded to me and discovered that the "Original" email had been altered. The "Original" email had a completely different shipping address vs. the new "Original" one forwarded. It was such BS. She is supposedly a Customer Service Supervisor at Lumens. It's really quite sad to see a company that was stellar at one time stoop to this low point. I don't know what other recourse I have to complain about the company so that others who might be considering a purchase from them will be aware

I deliberately asked to have it in writing that an item was in stock and ready to ship before I ordered. I was told yes and sent an email confirming it. Ordered and never received any further correspondence. Called after shipping notification was not received only to he be told it's not in stock on back order. Tired of retailers outright lying in writing to get your money because there are no consequences anymore for their behavior they just don't care.
