The owners are not sharing their intellectual capital and life experiences with the market simply to make money for themselves. They are truly good people with the primary intention of helping other people to not make the mistakes they made. They are like your brothers and sisters who want to teach you how to obtain financial security without stressing yourself out. The teach you how to cope with a down market and how to be patient with your decisions. Because of this program, I'm able to retire four and a half years earlier than expected. I'm no longer dependent on Social Security. I took charge of my financial growth and will never rely on someone else to manage my money. Thank you to the entire Low Stress Trading team for changing my life.

Read the Low-Star Reviews First
I was in LSO for over a year. There are vitally important points in the other low-star reviews. I’m not going to restate them. I strongly suggest reading them before you decide.
LSO regularly solicits reviews from new members. Those first few months are when new people are adding sizable amounts of money to their accounts — which generates fresh premium from new contracts — and still feel like they’re on top of the world. They haven’t had time yet to experience the negatives, which can take months or years to show up.
A few months after I joined, the owner had open-heart surgery. While he was in the hospital, I was called and asked to submit a review so that when he was in recovery he could see the new 5-star reviews. It was a well-timed pull on customers’ heartstrings. I, like a lot of other new members, left a glowing review.
Many months later, after my account values tanked and I understood what was going on, I deleted that review. Because there is so much backlash toward anyone criticizing the program, I expect most people never will.
Multiple reviewers have mentioned the pushy upsells. Frequency aside, one stands out. Right when I and other members were finding our accounts almost completely locked up, LSO came out with a course called Fuggups. The marketing said: “You’ve followed the Core Framework religiously and still found yourself in a hole you’d like to get out of faster.” For around $500 they would sell you a course to help you get out of trades the framework can leave you stuck in. In the video ad, the owner said it was only for people with large accounts, because he had to add tens of thousands of dollars to get out of one position. To me it felt like: get you stuck, sell the solution, leave smaller accounts without that option.
In a reply to another low-star review, the owner said LSO only focuses on realized gains, not unrealized losses. Then what is the unrealized value their software shows? Members are pushed to use that tracker. It calculates and displays total account value as if every stock will return to its original strike. Frequently, that recovery has not happened, and with the volatile, risky names selected, it often never will. Members are discouraged from even looking at the broker site — the one that shows actual value. That is how an account can lose thousands of real dollars while the LSO tracker says it is growing. Go to the broker and try to withdraw that money. It isn’t there.

Your Broker. Your Money. Your Decisions. LSO Just provides the education and support tools.
FYI#1--I was not asked for a review.
FYI#2--If you are the type who wants to constantly tweak your investments, day-trade, and get creative with risk-taking--then this is NOT for you.
FYI#3--The only cultish behavior I have found are the people who go on a negative rant and band together in their failures because they are embarrassed and isolated, so they become bullies with bullhorns and like each others' posts. Which can happen to anyone if not following the strategy as designed. Go ahead. I'd rather keep earning than complaining to other complainers.
I follow the data--not the emotion.
Bottom line up front--over $170K in actual income in pocket so far based on about $440K of allocable capital in almost a year. I retired 7 years early due to this program a year ago. I also made some mistakes--which helped me realize what was at stake between success and failure.
While not required, I choose to remain a part of the LSO community for $100/month because it brings value to me--the proprietary scanning/tracking/charting and optional trading software, multiple live calls each week, led by company owners that applies the strategy in the environment of that week
It is not a business/affiliate sales strategy selling anything. Your money. Your decisions. Your broker.
It is not passive income--you do need to spend a couple hours each week doing your research and executing a plan
It is not a get-rich quick scheme. Some people take the basics they learn and apply it outside of the strategy, take big risks, and then don't meet their expectations. Because no one is going to stop you.
It requires patience and discipline as it does not reward risk-taking nor trying to outsmart the market.
It is also not a stock picking club. Each student must continually learn and apply based on their own situation. Purchasing stocks is not in the strategy.
If you do not know nor want to learn the difference between asset appreciation/depreciation and income generation, you may want to just pay an advisor and earn about 1/6 of what I earn. It will save you heartburn. This is why they recommend people with a business background. Not everyone is cut out for this (though anyone can do it).
All the negative experiences I've seen in the community seem to have one thing in common--students who did not learn and/or were not disciplined. Which can happen, but success is within reach too.
Sincerely, Frank T.

Realistic Retirement Achieved!
I am 3 years away from retirement and would NOT have had enough put away to keep me retired very long. Low Stress Trading has provided me the hope that has been lacking in my financial future for the past decade. I have been trading for a couple of months and my brokerage account has grown by 9% in just 8 WEEKS. My advisor-managed IRA earned me 11% total last YEAR (52 weeks). No comparison, no excuses! I am here forever. Wealth building for my Grandchildren's future is what I am doing now.

I’ve made more in premiums this year than the “expert’s” have made me in over 20 year. Let that sink in for a minute!
I joined Low Stress Options Trading in October of 2025. My father in-law traded options and was very successful, but he could never explain his framework in a way that made since to me so I just gave up on the idea of trading myself. After joining I went through the training videos 3 times like they recommended. The training was easy to understand and very through, although I did have a lot of questions. That's where this community really shines. They do Monday morning Zoom call where you get to watch the owners/creators trade and explain what they are doing and why. Then you are allowed to ask any question you may have. They also have a Getting Started and My First Trade Zoom call which are extremely helpful when you are just getting started. They also have a Friday Roll Call Zoom call to discuss the weeks trading and any problem you may have had. The website and app are very well designed and very user friendly making it very easy to search and find specific topics in the training as a refresher without having to watch everything over again. The search functions were very well thought out. There is also a Community tab where you can communicate and discuss and receive help from the 3800 members active in the community. The staff and help desk are always available to assist you whenever you have a problem. Now let me cut to the chase, does the program work? Absolutely, the way it is designed it is easy to understand and implement. They have a framework that minimizes the risks of options trading as much as possible, if you follow the framework. The framework is also very forgiving even when you don't follow it as close as you should. Does it work? I recently transferred the last of our accounts (my wife’s IRA) to our Schwab accounts. August 18 the account was ready to trade. Today I received the final statement from the “experts” managing that account and YTD the profit on that account was $11,262.23 after fees and other transactions. That‘s a 5.3% ROR from January 01 to August 13 when everything transferred. Mean while trading on that same account using our 1% framework strategy from August 18 to September 8 my premiums have been $17,700 that’s a 7.7% ROR in less than 1 month. So much for the experts! My first trade was 22 December 2025, so I have not been trading this framework even 1 year. I have made every mistake you can make, you name it I’ve probably done it, and I’m still digging my self out of some of those bad decisions but I have not lost a dime! On the contrary I’ve made more in premiums this year than the “expert’s” have made me in over 20 year. Let that sink in for a minute! I tell everyone I know about this program, and you will too!

Gareth and others are correct...
I'll add my own $0.02 to some of the other critical reviews. I'll start by saying some good folks are in the program and there are a few "influencers" I like who recommend it. I don't think they know the risks.
1) As others have said, you often have to buy risky stocks (AI, crypto, rare earth, energy, etc.) to get the 1% weekly premiums.
They don't recommend ETFs, which I think is a mistake. At least you have a basket of stocks, even if it's in a risky, volatile sector. "Single stock risk" is a real thing. You never know when a company's CEO will get arrested or when bad news will make its stock tank.
Also, it's very difficult for anyone (especially new investors) to predict which stocks will perform well. Only a handful of mutual fund/ETF managers have beaten the S&P 500 in the long term.
2) "1% weekly returns" is misleading. If price drops, you could be rolling your put for up to 6 weeks. Then you may be forced to buy shares far above the stock's market value if you're assigned.
After that, it's a cat-and-mouse game selling calls on your shares (usually much less profitable than puts) without getting assigned. It may take months or years to get your cost basis to match the stock's price. During that time, that capital is tied up and can't make money elsewhere.
3) Instead of using industry standards like annual returns, max drawdowns and net liquidating values, they make up their own metrics that ignore unrealized losses. They recommend constantly adding money to your account which makes it very hard to know how it's performing.
I'd like to see the net liquidating value of one of their portfolios vs. the QQQ, which has returned over 18% annually since 2014--with the same amount of money periodically added to both accounts.
4) This service hasn't been through a bear market. Their site says it was founded in 2022, but the first snapshot on the Wayback Machine is in October 2023. They either started at the bottom of the 2022 bear market or after it recovered.
The 1 or 2 month corrections we had in the springs of 2025 and 2026 aren't bear markets. I'm talking about a multi-year downturn. The deep in-the-money trades could get MUCH worse. Another "tech wreck" like 2000-2003 would be really ugly. It took years to recover and a number of tech startups went bankrupt. You can't "wheel" you're way out of a stock that goes to $0.
Some option strategies are market neutral, but his one needs a bull market. Even flat markets aren't ideal, since this needs high-beta, risky stocks for premiums. Those stocks often tank in non-moving markets, while investors pile into consumer staples, value stocks, etc.
5) Others have addressed the upsells for basic material (stock selection, how to handle tanking stocks) that probably should be part of a $2,500 course.
6) A recent positive review that said "If you do not know nor want to learn the difference between asset appreciation/depreciation and income generation, you may want to just pay an advisor and earn about 1/6 of what I earn."
This is a typical example of only considering premiums and not your entire account value. Of course you're "earning" more than someone buying and holding. But what if an emergency happened and you have to liquidate your account? That's the bottom line.
If you rent a house and make nice income but the house value is plummeting, it may be a rotten investment in the long run. Same principle

I Got Out Before Getting TOO Burned
Positive and helpful aspects of the Low Stress Trading courses:
1. Good beginner guide to trading and getting started with a brokerage platform such as Schwab. Excellent beginner explanation of options, puts, calls, rolling, etc. And good teachings on the "Wheel" strategy (which is the basis but not the extent of the LST framework). You could feasibly get all of the above through YouTube videos, but the LST training DOES provide step-by-step courses which you may prefer.
2. There is good support if you have questions. And weekly support to help you get started and make your trades.
Problems/criticisms:
1. You have to pay extra for material (and this is my personal opinion) which SHOULD be included in the core training. This would include the fundamentals of stock analysis and perfecting the best time to enter into a position. Now granted there ARE some supplementary or add-on programs which I have no objection (again my own personal opinion) to charging extra for.
2. They'll say you can make money whether the market is going up, down, or sideways. It has been my experience while using this framework that it is very easy to make premiums while the market is generally going up. Fair to midland when sideways. And very difficult when going down. It would clearly not be suited for any sort of prolonged bear market.
3. One of the main points which attracted me to this program was that you hardly ever buy stocks. Sounded great! I wouldn't have to be "stuck" in any undesirable position if it went bad. Most of the time you just sell puts. But in my experience, just the opposite has been true. Selling a put means setting that money aside for a contracted period of time. So, I'm not able to use that money for anything else. If the underlying stock goes not in my favor I can be stuck in it for several weeks, months, or years, or be assigned the stock anyway. Whereas if I buy a stock outright and it starts to go against me, I can sell the stock and quickly get out of it. (Probably using a stop-loss to minimize damage done.)
4. The "value" of your portfolio is misleading and potentially quite harmful. After getting started, new students will soon notice a discrepancy between the total value showing in their brokerage account Vs. the value shown in the LST tracking and reporting. The LST $$ being larger and more comforting. Your brokerage factors in unrealized gains and losses. LST does not. After dealing with positions where I may be stuck in a put, or after having been assigned a stock and trying to manage, I have come to consider my broker's "total value" to be a more useful metric. Imagine if you want to determine how much your house is worth. Your real estate agent examines the house and comparable houses and determines the house is worth about $500,000. More or less, that is how much you could sell it for. But you say you refuse to take less than $800,000 for it! Can you now say its "value" is $800,000? I don't think so. Sure, the market could change and the house could eventually be worth that much. But you would be fooling yourself to believe you own a house worth $800K. Or could expect that amount of capital in any reliable timeframe. Likewise, unfortunately and perhaps riskily, many of us in the LST program have been fooling ourselves about the value of our accounts.
Lastly, and this is just a cultural observation. As others have said, the whole Low Stress Trading group is rather cult-like. That is my growing observation. Take it for what it's worth. I have noticed you are not allowed to question authority. You get chastised for going against the rules, though the leader often breaks them. And anyone who dares leave will be ridiculed and scorned as I am sure I will be for this review. But I do write it in order to share my personal experiences and hope that others can benefit.

After only 8 months of following the framework
After only 8 months of following the core framework taught in Low Stress Trading, I have had a very positive experience both educationally and financially. I knew nothing about Options trading when I started, but the detailed video lessons provided, along with the many weekly live video calls with both the co-owners & partners in the company, and the incredibly friendly, engaging community, have all taught me well. My portfolio is very happy too! All I have been told about the program has come to fruition and it is a virtual steal if you apply yourself. Thank you John, Troy and Tom Woods! Onward and Upward!
