Solid Trading Framework, But Structural and Cultural Issues Hold it Back
I want to thank Troy and John for developing the Low Stress Options framework. This variant of the Wheel Strategy helps members gain proficiency in options trading within months. The founders are passionate and have had great success with their model. While I still follow the framework to generate weekly premiums, I ended my membership after a year due to operational issues and management's unwillingness to address them. Because the owners regularly read and reply to reviews, I am sharing this feedback as a constructive roadmap for improvement. 1. Broken Commitments and Aggressive Course Monetization When I evaluated LSO on an introductory call, Troy promised the course provided everything needed to trade their framework, and that beyond the monthly fee, we would never be asked to buy additional courses to implement it. That commitment has proven untrue. Rather than expanding content for members paying $100/month, the owners constantly monetize topics relevant to the core framework—rolling out paid courses for position entry, stock selection, and case studies on managing losing trades. Stock selection was particularly frustrating: original training was weak on fundamentals and later removed, with members told they were getting "too bogged down" in researching companies they were only trading on for a week. Yet when trades went south, members were chastised for weak research. Rather than fixing the core curriculum, a new paid fundamentals course was created. On one call, Troy proudly announced that he has dozens of ideas for additional courses, confirming this paywalled approach is their permanent model. I have no issue with premium add-ons for distinct strategies like Bitcoin. However, locking supplementary material that impacts core framework execution behind new paywalls contradicts initial commitments. Early members should be grandfathered under their original enrollment terms. 2. Intrusive Marketing Aggressive marketing has bled directly into the core membership experience, with upsell messaging flooding member emails, alerts, and community posts with no way to opt out. Most frustratingly, weekly live calls frequently lead with pitches. Forcing a global audience of paying members—who tune in awaiting John's weekly trades—to sit through advertisements before getting to critical trading content is a poor member experience. This issue has been raised, but the owners seem indifferent to the needs of their members. 3. Lack of Reference Material & Structural Noise Training relies entirely on video content with no written reference guides. When members spot conflicting guidance within or across videos, they are told to simply "re-watch the training" rather than resolving the contradiction. Additionally, the community feed is cluttered with noise that drowns out critical educational posts. Without anonymous surveys, Trustpilot remains the primary feedback mechanism—usually submitted after a member leaves. 4. Unrealistic Metrics & Incomplete Call Guidance Marketing metrics like 1% weekly returns are misleading because they disregard unrealized losses when positions go DITM, locking up capital for months. While put mechanics are solid, guidance lacks depth for managing covered calls sold below assignment price when a stock rises sharply. While no formula works in every case—and none is expected—a complete framework should offer clear guidelines for weighing multi-month rolls against mean reversion. Without this guidance, capital gets trapped in stagnant positions, dragging down net returns. 5. Communication Tone & Feedback Deflection Communication culture has grown increasingly defensive and unprofessional. Public venting about members "not following the framework" is unfair given that platform search functionality is poor—requiring exact-phrase matching rather than allowing boolean filters to search historical topics. Valid questions on unrealized losses or mechanics are deflected as "mindset issues" or "nuance." When constructive posts on framework challenges gain momentum, owners lock the thread to shut down discussion. A pattern exists of taking credit for member wins while blaming members for going "off-strategy" when on-strategy trades face headwinds. This heavy-handed moderation discourages members from asking legitimate questions out of fear of public backlash or expulsion. Summary: The core framework works, but these issues diminish ongoing membership value once you learn the basics—especially when software and research gaps can be filled elsewhere for a fraction of the cost. If management learns to accept constructive feedback rather than fighting it, this program could truly be five-star.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a detailed review David and thank you for the acknowledgment of our program and passion for it. Let me address your numbered points directly. 1. I have never made such a promise. I promise on the sales call that there are no upsells when you purchase the core framework. Our competitors frequently have 5 or more upsells right when you join which is disingenuous because you have no idea if what you just bought works. We do sell other courses later on, but we are very clear and go out of our way to tell you that you don't need them unless you want to go deeper with trading and have already made your money back with the core program. Everything you need to be successful is included in our core program. You seem to think that we owe everything for the $100 a month. The truth is that we have massively expanded what is included in that $100 monthly and it has never been raised in four years. We didn't include reporting, tracking, filtering, labels, full text course search, scanners and other tools, getting started calls, my first trade calls, Friday rolling calls, or many of the other features we now include in that $100 monthly when we launched 4-years ago. So I do take exception to your comment that we're not including more with the product, we have, you just haven't been around long to see it. 2. We are businessmen and marketers. It is not intrusive to those that want to learn. We have a six-figure monthly payroll and have invested over $2M+ into building the platform. We won't apologize for selling other trainings and products, just like Walmart doesn't sell one item and the movie theatre has the audacity to show previews of other movies you might want to buy. If you're offended by this, then I wish you well with another program that can stay in business making one sale for the lifetime of their customers. 3. There is no lack of reference material. All of the material you need to be successful is included in video format. Just because you want it a different way, doesn't mean anything is lacking, just not to your preference. And that's fine, you can have it your way, just not with us. That's the beauty of free trade, I'm sure there are other platforms that will give you everything written and cheat sheets and such. We focus on deep learning and don't cater to the tik-tok culture wanting curt answers with no context. 4. Our metrics are not misguided. I always am amazed how people obsess about unrealized losses when the very word is UNREAL(ized). That loss is UNREAL by definition. Similarly, accounting can be tracked with accrual methods or cash-based accounting. Neither is right, neither is wrong. They are two different perspectives. Our methodology is cash-based and is REAL because it focuses on REALI(ized) gains. It may not be your preference, that's fine, but saying it is incomplete is factually incorrect. 5. You're correct, our search could definitely be better and we are actively working on all sorts of boolean logic. We do, however, have full text search, even within our video content as well as tagging, filtering, hashtags and labeling for bookmarking content. So while not perfect for sure, it is quite thorough. When you have some students that have been trading 4 years with us mixed with some that just started last week, yes, it's always a balance to merge those expectations. In the future, we will be segmenting new students so that they get more attention and patience without throwing them into the fold with the more experienced traders. That will come in a future enhancement. Lastly, when you say that this can all be achieved elsewhere for a fraction of the cost, I strongly disagree. Our cost is extremely affordable in the marketplace and very comprehensive. But that is your opinion and you're welcome to it, of course. Good luck with your trading and thanks again for being as student and taking the time to leave your feedback. Troy A. Broussard CEO & Founder
