They Lost my VISA/Debit card
I visited the LongHorn Steakhouse in Mooresville, NC, and while the food was great and our server was very friendly, the end of the meal turned into an extremely frustrating experience. After handing my VISA debit card to the server, she returned about five minutes later to tell me she had lost my card. The manager, Chuck Jordon, eventually came to the table and confirmed they could not find it. He told me he would “take care of the meal” — which honestly didn’t feel like much of a solution considering I now had no way to pay even if I wanted to. More importantly, this was my primary debit card, which means 7–10 days of waiting for a replacement and having to update all of my automatic payments. A huge inconvenience. Chuck also promised to call me early the next morning with an update. That call never came. I had to reach out to the corporate office in Florida myself just to get someone to respond. Chris Burnett the GM, finally called back and confirmed they still had not found my card and said he would speak with Chuck about how the situation was handled. Was I satisfied with this resolution? Absolutely not. Losing a customer’s debit card is a serious issue, and the lack of follow‑through made the situation even worse. The food may have been good, but the way this was handled left me extremely disappointed.
