Such a disappointment! Went with the family today. There were hardly any animals. The compounds were small and looked uncared for. The giraffes were in a concrete area. No grass. They were eating a branch that was tied to a metal pole. No trees around them. Very sad. All in all it was an expensive day out to see very little!

Despite being in my 60s and a Londoner this was my first visit and I realised I’d not missed much. The zoo is generally very rundown, the signage is terrible and the variety of animals is very limited. Really not recommended.

The zoo is great, the terrace restaurant is the worst food I have had the misfortune to have paid for the fish was cold, the loaded Mac n cheese was dried up on top Luke warm at best the chips cold, the best thing was the canned drinks, the staff were surly all in all avoid it like the plague, or you might end up with something a plague of your own
