Such a disappointment!
Went with the family today. There were hardly any animals. The compounds were small and looked uncared for. The giraffes were in a concrete area. No grass. They were eating a branch that was tied to a metal pole. No trees around them. Very sad. All in all it was an expensive day out to see very little!

A Night at London Zoo – An Unforgettable Experience
Some experiences are enjoyable, some are memorable — and then there are those rare experiences that make you feel like a child again. Our overnight stay at London Zoo was definitely one of those.
I can confidently say that this has become one of my favourite family experiences. It was exciting, new and incredibly educational, giving us the opportunity to see what happens at the zoo once the gates close, the crowds disappear and the animals begin to settle into their evening routines.
Absolutely unforgettable experience!
Our overnight stay at London Zoo was one of the best family experiences we have ever had. From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcome, with Prosecco for the adults and juice for the children, before settling into our lovely lodge just metres away from the lions.
Once the zoo closed to the public, the real adventure began. We explored with the zookeepers, learned interesting facts about the animals, watched them being fed and discovered how much work goes into their care and conservation. We went behind the scenes to the food-preparation area, learned what the gorillas eat and helped prepare food for some of the animals ourselves.
After a delicious candlelit dinner, we were given red-light torches and went on a night walk through the zoo, including feeding the porcupines. Walking around London Zoo after dark was magical!
The next morning was my favourite part. From 7am, we could walk around the almost-empty zoo with a cup of tea or coffee, watching the animals wake up before the gates opened to the public. They seemed so much more curious and attentive without the crowds.
The whole experience was exciting, educational and beautifully organised, with wonderful food, knowledgeable and passionate keepers, and so many special moments.
For children growing up in such a digital world, this is an amazing way to inspire real curiosity and love for wildlife. You don't simply visit the zoo — for one night, you feel like you become part of it.
A huge thank you to the London Zoo team for such a memorable experience. I would highly recommend it, especially to families with children. Definitely a must-do experience!

A very disappointing visit
Despite being in my 60s and a Londoner this was my first visit and I realised I’d not missed much.
The zoo is generally very rundown, the signage is terrible and the variety of animals is very limited.
Really not recommended.

Fun day out
Nothing compared to the Korkeasaari Zoo in Finland, but the kids liked it nonetheless!

A great day out
Although the car park was half closed still managed to park and we were able to enjoy a nice day out. Lots of the animals were out to be seen, lots of information the shop staff were friendly and professional the site was clean and tidy.

No animals total disappointmentnt
No animals. I lion. I tiger both asleep. No pygmy hippos. 3 meerhats no parrotsin enclosure.
Some penguins. But they looked listless and bored. As did all the rare animals that we saw. Their environments were not suitable as per their natural environments. Animal farm 4 goats. The food in cafe burgers and pizza??? Unnatural environment for the animals. Hugely expensive entry. Should be closed
