**Always have a back-up Plan**
**Need to have a Back-up Plan** I was provided a Loan Estimate AFTER they have run my credit scores and was being asked to do a rate lock and to provide my initial documents and e-sign authorizations. I complied with all of the request immediately (within 2 -4 hours time frame) only to be told that they would NOT offer the Loan Estimate provided to me after running my credit. Why would you provide a Loan Estimate after running my credit and not offer it after? Typical satire story of click and bait. Not a good business practice.

everything except the closing was done…
everything except the closing was done online. only two reasons for 4 starts instead of 5: It took a bit longer than I expected to fund and their system sends out automated reminder emails telling you to log into their portal to upload some information, but when you log in, there's nothing for you to do.

We're sorry if your experience wasn't quite as expected. In reviewing your file, it seems like there was some issues with the appraisal. The appraisal process and pricing is managed through an appraisal management company so unfortunately we aren't able to control their fees or their turn times. We hope you were able to find another option to refinance.

Not transparent w/ fees
Rates and fees are low but I found better. LoanFlight was not very transparent with the closing costs however and required a full loan application to get an accurate estimate. Several fees, such as the appraisal estimate, were 2x higher than other lenders. It averaged out to be about $500-1,000 higher than comparable lenders for a 200k+ loan. LoanFlight had the lowest APR around but a couple other lenders were at the same rate but lower closing costs. Low review is entirely based on the lack of transparency prior to full loan application.

The official loan estimate is a document that is required to be sent to the borrower within 3 days of completing a full loan application and, by law, it cannot be sent until a full loan application is completed. The least transparent thing a lender can do is send you a 'quote' with 'estimated closing costs' prior to receiving a full application. The most transparent thing a lender can do is admit that (like we do). Closing costs are not controlled by a lender and, as stated on the loan estimate, are fees the borrower can shop for. The only fee a lender controls is the fee they charge you to do the loan. LoanFlight charges $0.

Excellent Lender
Excellent Lender. Offers rates and loan costs which are unmatched. I shopped around with many lenders, but none could offer the rate and loan costs offered by loanflight. 10/10 would recommend.
