Learn from others mistakes - don't waste your money with this product. The AI component of ChatBot is severely lacking in features and functionality. You would have better functionality and success using an AI tool attached to email.

We signed up with LiveChat in January 2024 and had hoped to use it for multiple years. However, we found the AI lacking, often delivering wrong or irrelevant answers to our customers, and it's also quite a pricey product. We had a lot of interactions with their team over the year, but ultimately felt the product was not improving, and we have this week moved our business to Intercom.

Had a good experience during the trial. We were then offered a Black Friday discount just after our trial ended, which we tried to redeem as per the offer email. Not a small amount of money to commit to, even with the offer. The offer code didn't work (just threw up an error code on checkout each time), then followed a long to-and-fro with various support reps who firstly denied anything was wrong (despite screenshots clearly showing the issue) or suggested we weren't aware we still needed to click the checkout button. Having setup and customised the whole system during the trial period, I found it a bit frustrating to be treated like an idiot after explaining from the start, with screenshots, that their error made it physically impossible to checkout and pay in any way. At a painfully slow rate of one reply per day, Livechat eventually said they would escalate the issue and get back to me. Heard nothing since despite chasing twice since for a response. I'm sure the whole issue could have been resolved by honouring the discount some other way, directly with a client who was literally raring to get started. The whole process was frustrating and poorly handled. The lack of acknowledgement from several reps to multiple emails asking for any update is pretty unforgivable from any company, but particularly for a product priced at this level. Unfortunately, I couldn't recommend.

Unfortunately, we can only warn against LiveChat. The technology is deliberately designed so that you can create more agents and then automatically get billed more (that's absolutely ok), but if you reduce the number of agents, there is no automation and you get billed too much. We are in the year 2024 and programming a process so that it can only add but not subtract is cheating the customer. Unfortunately, it is also part of the company policy that the support apologises for the technical backwardness but you don't get any money back. We hope that companies that deliberately programme their software in a non-transparent way will not remain on the market for long.
