The GPS doesn't work. It works great right around my house but as soon as my dog goes for a walk with my wife, it can't located him. This is in the middle of a neighborhood. If your dog runs away, don't count on Link to locate him.

Right now if your looking to purchase…
Right now if your looking to purchase Link my Pet, I would hold off especially if you have an IPhone with the latest update 16.2, I started having issues 2 weeks ago and last week the Adventure (GPS) shut down completely which is why I purchase it! Customer Service has been nice but I was originally advised the fox would be completed last weekend but the Beta fix did not pass, now as you see below have been advised at least one to two weeks as long as QA test pass. I purchased my Link in mid November and I’m paying for service that I’m not getting! Prior to the IOS update I bragged to everyone about Link and I would have given them 5 stars! Please wait till the get a fox to buy and hope the next IOS update does not repeat this!

Hello Cliff,
This is Ashton with the Link My Pet Customer Care Department and I wanted to reach out in regards to the Adventure Mode issue with the new iOS 16.2 update. I have spoke to one of our App Developers and they are still working on QA testing for the Link My Pet app in order for it to match with the permissions issue. Once the new app update passes the QA testing it must go through BETA testing to ensure when released before the public there are no bugs within the app software. Once both of those go through testing and pass with no failures then the app will be released. This will be at least a two week process with testing, as long as the testing has passed it may be only one week.
Yours,
Ashton Pike

Ashton Pike:
Good afternoon Ashton Pike, I did contact Link this morning and spoke to Crissy, I d love Link product but after speaking to Chrissy at 10:00 am today I am really disappointed! I found out that the Beta Test performed on the fix for Adventures for IPhone IOS 16.2 did not pass and at this time there is no ETA for the fix! I continue to use the link but the Link Active Minutes is way off, once again I walked my dog 3.23 miles and the Link had her over 4 miles! The Calibration Problems started Wednesday 12/28/23 if you look at Tula’s History! I walked Tula 3.28 miles in the morning and we traveled over 7 hours to Deforest, Wisconsin to my sons home, she slept in the backseat, no activity, she played with her sister when we got there and Link had her at 8.71 miles, totally impossible! I played with the Calibration and when I went from 0 to -1 it was way off on previous activities! Up until December 28th this devise was awesome and I bragged about it to everyone. She has been to North Carolina and Wisconsin with it.
Please let me know what the status of fix is, if it’s more than another week or two I will be looking for another product and I would believe I’m entitled to a full refund on the product and 10.5 months of service on the device since your company cannot provide a product to do as what it was sold for! Your Adventures GPS was very accurate until the Apple update. I truly hope these issues will be fixed soon! I did call Apple this morning and spoke to a female, she documented the problem but was not familiar with this issue, thank you and please respond!
Sincerely:
Clifford Warstler

The activity feature is the only reason I gave it 2 stars. It's kinda neat and the collar has a light on it you can turn off and on by phone. Which I like. The tracking is awful. 90 percent of the time is "unable to track my pets last location". And the battery runs out within hours if you are in tracking mode. So if your pet is away from home all day, you'll lose him within a few hours. Not in tracking mode it lasts about a day and a half. No good for tracking country dog. May work better in the city.

A huge tracking delay
The reason I gave two stars, it's because I like the concept of being able to track my pets. The tracking device has a delay of about 2-5 minutes. When my pets are away from home, the device doesn't alert me on time, that's a huge no, no for me. I want a tracker that's able to keep track of my pet's instant, not minutes later after my pet has been almost a mile away from me.

The app is slow to catch up and the battery is weak. It goes dead too easily. I paid for a full year of service. I regret it. I don’t foresee me paying any further past that. If you can make improvements to your app, that may change. It sets goals for my puppy. Sounds really cool. Unrealistic. She is way more active.

Thank you so much for reaching out so our tech department can help address your concerns! It looks like one of our agents had reached out last week to offer her assistance is improving your battery life. We're sorry if her message didn't reach you! An agent will be calling and emailing again shortly. :)
We can also see that your pup is definitely active! The activity goal is only a recommendation based on breed, to help maintain a healthy lifestyle. It looks like you already figured out how to change that level in the app.
It looks like you are a great pet parent doing everything you can to keep your pup happy and healthy!

The tracking option experiences very long delays on location updates. This feature is actually one of the main reasons I got the Link. Unfortunately, it hasn't been the best experience so far.

Please IMPROVE! 🙏🏼
I think the collars themselves are great, but the app needs a tremendous amount of improvement. My text notifications come in late when the dogs run off, sometimes it takes 10 to 15 minutes for a location update to load and dogs can get far in the amount of time, sometimes it tells me my batteries are dead when in fact they are not. The activity recommendations notifications I get every time I open the app making me update their activity goals which can be annoying when you don’t want to change It every time you open the app. I think it would be nice if you were able to see two dogs on the same screen at the same time as it takes time to switch between them which can be frustrating when they both run off at the same time.
