I signed up after a trial, and they dropped available classes.
I signed up for a 7-day trial on June 7th, and had such a great experience, that I immediately signed up for 8 sessions over 1 month and booked another session. There weren't many openings for teachers during my window of 5-10pm PST, but it was enough for my purposes, even for once a week. I favorited a few teachers and saved even more. After the 3rd session, I was unable to find any teachers during my availability - only 6 days after signing up! I asked Lingoculture support for help finding a teacher during my available hours and was told that teachers schedules were being revamped. The new schedule would be up after July 1st. I asked for a refund for my unused sessions, even if they charged me by the hour for the ones I'd taken, but was told they don't give refunds. I was told, however, that as long as I had a subscription my sessions would roll over to the next period. This was little help since if I can't get lessons when I need them, it seemed a bad idea to pay for MORE sessions that I couldn't use. I am incredibly disappointed in the lack of teacher availability during my evening hours over the past three weeks. I have only been able to book one class, and although I had paid for 8 classes to take while I was on a break during my school year, I was unable to take advantage of them to have consistent one-on-ones with teachers. I now have to teach full time summer courses and don't have time to take classes and put in the hours that I had set aside for this intensive summer refresher. Even when I requested to cancel, upon finding out that there would be no available classes for two weeks, I was told no refunds. I subscribed in good faith that the course availability would continue as I had seen for my first 10 days. Lingoculture did not notify me that there would be an upcoming change and left me hanging. The teachers were all fantastic, and if you can work around their session availability, go for it. But if you are looking for consistency, integrity, and good communication from the business, don't book here.
